Can't wait to see how the new toe links are holding up. I haven't busted mine yet. The only issues I have had is busting off the the front mount (part # 5314) and I bent the Rocker Arm post (part #5354) I can't believe that the entire front bumper/front mount is held onto the truck with the ONE screw located between the front shocks. Seems kinda like a week spot.

Yesss!!! The revo! I haven’t touched my diffs yet but ever since I got larger tires I haven’t been able to flatflip I think it’s time to gear down.. but man what would that end up doing! Lmao no wonder you were buying the little rc’s great vid man as always! Always checking up on you lmao hope you’re doing good it’s snowing in co.

So, did it work? Hard to tell from the footage. But I agree, filling up the diff with harder oil can make a huge difference. I’ve even used AWG (Tamiya anti wear grease) and silicone grease to get a better limited slip.

Oh my gosh... why on EARTH is it not 8s yet!!!! KEV!!!! come on now LOL. That'd be so cool to see!!! Cool video too. Yea the Revos take a bit of learning and time(a lot of it too) to figure out how they are put together but they are pretty easy to work on once figured out. You can take the diff out without even removing the wing and the upper part of the bulkhead(the part that is screwed into the actual chassis). The things are a BEAST when you put paddle tires on the rear and some badlands on the front!!! Paddle tires on all 4 ends don't make it handle really nice though. Also, make sure that center diff is nice and tight if you do do it! Cool video and fun to watch! Sorry this is 2 years late LOL

Hey kev. I have a few questions about the e revo 2.0. I have seen you beat it up pretty good. But I'm kind of in the process of building one from scratch. By that I started with a used 2.5 revo with bad engine, and have decided i wanted an electric version. So swapped as much as I could from the 2.5 to a 2.0 vxl chassis. So i have a pretty good idea on the tear down as well as putting it together. I am far from done as I can't really afford it. I still need the important stuff like the tranny, esc, motor, appropriate controler and receiver as I have the old one from the 2.5. Also need the appropriate waterproof servos. Oh yeah still need the body as well. And the batteries, as well as the charger. Far from done. More then likely it won't be used until next year around this time. But I am curious as to what the 2 screw holes are for on the rear chassis brace? Are they for limiting straps? As well as what are you thoughts on a locked rear diff? Furthermore I am interested in finding out if it would be worth putting a sway bar kit is worth the time. Like I said I can't afford it so it's being pieced together. When done it would be a new used 2.0 vxl. I sincerely look forward to hearing back from you. Maybe you have some pointers. Thank you for your time!

Making the rear diff a bit more titer or locking it will mean that the back end of the car will cone out more rather that there diff actually trying to ditrubute the power, Not bad at all But traxxas recommend that you dont use the car for speed runs, I have one of these to I also have a pimped out e maxx, with a locked rear diff and noticed the back end of the car came out lots more. Also im from birmingham, Would you know of any great places to bash rc? Thanks @ Kevin Talbot

Hi friend, I'm from Brazil and I have some questions. I would be very happy if you would help me! I have already discovered that it is necessary to apply grease to the outer gears of the differentials, but I really wanted to know if I should also grease the gears of the engine. Example: 6448 parts: Spur gear, 8985: Input gear transmission, both from Traxxas Maxx. Another question is that the center differential gear comes into contact with a motor gear, should I grease it too? Part 8988. Inside Driveshaft 8949, do I also need to apply grease?

You can upgrade to full aluminum rods with aluminum ends, but you will end up breaking somewhere else. I super glued mine and they do alright. I have the Revo 3.3 which is an aluminum chassis rather than the plastic one on the E-revo. My Summit has the exact same chassis and suspension as the E-revo, but it's more a slow paced crawler than the E-revo is.

Hi Kevin. I am new to the rc world. What was the tyres and wheels sizes you had on the traxxas. Been looking at wheels for ages find it a bit confusing what tyres fit on what size rims. Please help. Russ
@SebastianLong
@SebastianLong 5 жыл бұрын
When a tire is marked as a 3.8, that is the measurement of the wheel. A 2.8 is also the wheel size as well as the 1.9. RC tires tend to be measured by the wheel. Some companies will give you a overall height of the tire, but generally those are crawlers. For the E-revo, they typically run a 3.8 wheel/tire combo. Stock wheels and tires are lighter, but shred easy because of the thin sidewalls. Best bet is Proline wheels and tires, but they weigh a bit more than stock. I like the Proline Badlands I run on my Revo 3.3, but are about a half inch taller than stock. I never ran Trenchers, but seem to do well on the E-revo from videos I've seen. If you do go with stock tires, get the Talons found on the Revo 3.3 instead of the E-revo as the sidewalls are thicker.

I'm so confused! Is there an E-revo 3.0? You've had your E-revo 2.0 for ages longer than the latest model came out. The latest model is referred to as "next gen E-revo" on the Traxxas website which I think is basically the 3.0. It says there are only a handful of parts carried over from the last model and there are dozens of upgrades. I got the latest model but it looks exactly the same as yours! Do you have the latest model Kev? Haven't you had yours for over a year now?
