I've owned Traxxas Slash 4x4s for over two years now and with several runs a week I have learned a great deal about them. if you maintain it and look after it the RC will last a long time and if you do what I chose t do - well they last - but you have to buy parts now and again.
I run 3s lipos in the trucks along with the 13t pinion. In the past I have ran with the 18t to gain top speed runs.
The adventure series videos began after a father of three children saw me running a Traxxas Slash 4x4 in my local park and asked whether I made videos for KZfaq as I had been recording slow motion on my phone. It made me think that there must be a market out there and from that point that's really how the RC videos began.

Too expensive for my taste I'd stick to FS racing, JLB and for the financially tight Wltoys are known as the rc on a budget. As good as Traxxas have been over the past I'm sorry to say they can't compete with the likes of FS Racing or JLB on performance or cost. And plenty of parts available for either. BTW nice video

On the box it says you can achieve 45+mph and 60+ if you add the optional 19t pinion to it. Hope this can help get your speed faster ;)

Wish I'd had the camera rolling when I clipped my Slash Ultimate on a heavy steel garbage bin the other day at 40+mph. Only thing that broke was the front right arm. I beat the heck out of mine every time we go out and I rarely have to replace anything. Poor body is pretty much trashed after a few months of abuse, but the rest is in great condition.

love the video man like always👍................just a quick note on overheating the motor and bearings if they get to hot they will melt the bearing carrier on the end of the motor, which you can't get a replacement for yet as I found out the hard way lol

I LOVE the Slash videos. They are easily my favorite. I think it would be awesome if you got a special edition 2WD Slash (The Courtney Force edition being my favorite) and bashed the hell out of it to compare it to the 4WD models. Either way, keep the Slash videos coming!

In my experience the 2WD slash has many weak points compared to 4x4. For the abuse Jake puts them thru, he'd need a fully RPM built out 2WD to stay in 1 piece. Rear hub carriers are terribly weak on stock 2WD Slash.

hey Jake I love the videos you make and I have something to ask and would be great if you could reply. I'm just getting in to rc and I cant really choose between the slash 4x4 and the arrma senton so this will be my first rc. and would like to get a lipo for it but cant choose so I don't know if I should get a turnigy nano tech 3s lipo or a turnigy graphene 3s lipo. thanks!

damn shock are always popping out of the shock ends at the bottom. i've has the slash 4x4 vxl for 2 days now and i've replace 2 broken shock ends. I'll have to upgrade to full metal shock ends. Other than that, it got ran into a small curb at about 40 mph head on, flipped up in the air about 5 ft and nothing happened.

Hi there, the audio is made by something called onboard audio. There was a time where you could purchase the traxxas slave 4x4 with OBA (onboard audio)

Liked and subb'ed! I really support you guys on the tv, who flog their trucks like they have no soul..I need the dirty details though; what is the VXL weak points? My build philosophy is use as much original plastic as possible, whilst shoring up strategically, and essentially adding negligible weight.. Big bore alum shock caps, alum slipper widgit and bearing, new HD slipper rebuild.. The new(to me) truck is adult owned and maintained, but put through 3s paces, mainly asphalt. Bigger wheels & tires, wondering if I should install a hitec mg digital wp servo, to future-proof it, should I swap to AVC.. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

What has everyone done to make their slash this strong. I broke front suspension tower on a small jump however it was very cold outside. I had to rig an aluminum tower on which is a temu set so not a perfect fit. Ordered a replacement and shock's. Heavy duty front an rear a arms. Already have the aluminum everything but think I'll keep out the towers and a arms. Anyones help would be appreciated. I have a slash bl2s and a VXL

Hello guys🙌🏽I need help ...in my city it is rainy season and the track has water and mud... and I want to continue using it...I bring a copperhead 10 waterproof ESC and a castel 1412 3200kv. with sensor but in the place of the sensor I already put dielectric grease.. The question is: can I use it by disconnecting the fan from my ESC? since it says that it is the only thing that is not against water, the ESC fan. what dou you recommend?? I bring a traxxas slash 4x4, can I use it and it doesn't deprogram or have any problems? Obviously after using it, wash it completely and oil it...

it gets most of the water but to get all of it you will have to take the rc apart. i like to try and get the water by the bearings and other metal parts as best as i can without taking things apart.
