Yeah, I have a Rustler 4x4 and this thing can take a beat. The actual body and the plastic covering take beatings all the time from jumps and though with tons of scratches and marks runs like a beast, I've only had to replace the servo one time and its working amazing.

Nice video guys, always like your editing 👍👍. Too many rocks at MX Club so it’s more suited to the bigger RC cars. My current favourite SCT is the UDR but waiting for the Losi to announce the Super Baja Rey 2.0! Keep up the great work guys!

I literally just bought this truck on 11-4-20 slapped a 3c battery in it and let my son drive it at full speed and he rolled it. I freaked out internally, just smiled at him as i held back my screams of pain. Only to see zero damage. Now watchin the both of u beat the living crap out of it to only come back in perfect condition i am so happy i spent the extra on the ultimate. Great vid to the both of u. Keep it up

Great video! Not surprised about the rear of the body damage. I had the same issue on the senton. Nothing that plasterboard tape and shoegoo won't fix.

basically any non-detergent degreaser kind of spray will work. just check the label to make sure it doesnt interfere with electronics or eat plastic. simple green is used the most over here because its pretty cheap. ive even seen people use some kind of wax finisher to clean their vehicles and just spray it off afterwards.

I use those GTR shocks on my Rustler 4x4. I use 45wt oil and have stiffer springs from VG Racing on mine. Traxxas has soft suspension setups out of the box.

Nice durability test. I'm more into the bigger stuff. Just picked up my Outcast 8s!. You need to adapt a losi spur gear into your Kaiju. No more stripped plastic spur gears for me. And the Kaiju runs even better!

Might pick a traxxas maxx ultimate 4x4 up at my local hobby shop is it best to leave stock and wait till something breaks or upgrade right away?

The Slash all the way! It’s bittersweet though. You have to customize and tune to what you want to do. A lot of people are always coming up to me asking about my truck at the track. They can’t believe it’s a HCG 2wd and it will lap 4wd.

@@g8shane I owned a slash 4x4 and it was a beast, crashed and flipped it so many times and nothing broke. It's super fast aswell, just need to watch out for overheating

The problem I see with RC’s is that the difference between an experienced driver and total novice is imperceptible to the average person. It just looks like a car flipping and flopping every direction and eventually breaking.

The 2nd time running it, I ran my vxl stampede 4x2 into about an 8 inch concrete step up at around 55mph because I didnt see it from my angle! If you do that I'm betting it'll break something real good for ya. Lol Broke my front end and the cross braces under the front. I made some new parts out of mild steel. She's a beast now. And it's really way too fast for what it is.

I've got same truck but soon as I got mine I lined inside of body with black gorilla tape and man does it make a difference. U should try it on your bodies. Helps body last longer. Great video!!! Everytime I drive my ultimate it puts a smile on my face!!!

Hello, i finished Slash LCG conversion and its almost unbelievable, that Slash ends almost every time on the wheels when i tested on the track. It made all RC drives on the track endless laugh. We can no believe that is not a dream. Every other truck we have to turn back on the wheels so often, but there was almost impossible end jump with many rolls and not end on the wheels. Is your experiences the same? As i see this video, i think so :-D

I got a slash 4x4 platinum running a 3c lipo and techno rc dogbones because just hitting the throttle I ripped the plastic ones apart, even with aluminium dogbones I have still snapped two of them

Awesome video! About the 3s battery, the slash ultimate can take it no problem. It's only the brushed motor slash 2wd and 4wd that can only run on 2s. Hope that helps. 🙂

I broke my suspension arm within 10 minutes of purchase. Now to the cars defense, running it into concrete is probably not a good idea. i thought there was no lip from the grass onto the concrete apparently there was but the rest held together great

I use 35wt shock oil and changed the spring weight to the blue stripe. The tires are absolutely garbage, both of my rear tires had to be glued back onto the rims already and i had to put tape on the body and raise it to keep the tires from rubbing paint off. It's pretty stout but 3s lipo should be used for parking lots

I've had the ultimate slash, I've just put the upgraded drive shafts in it and gave it some fans. And I've made a chassis brace from front to rear tower. Never had any breakdowns with it but I don't like the way how she drives/handles

@@joshuapacman thanks for the input. I will tell my friend who has bought the slash from me. I've tried different tires, onroad, offroad, proline, traxxas tires etc. It's a great basher but I think the handling can be much better, more like the tekno sct. It aslo doesn't jump very well with the big original body, you need to cut it for a better airflow but still I like a good short course truck. It's a lot of fun

We don’t have a maximum but we have a maxx and Xmaxx and the slash is certainly up there with them!

Throttle management isn't something that's easily learned or taught. It takes years & comes as an automatic response at a split second. (Kinda like here in the USA, if ur being attacked & carry). But, once u have it, u have it 4 LIFE!

First day I got mine, I full speed ran into a tree sideways and broke the wheel almost completely off, there’s was like a huge stick that got the wheel.

Will you guys do a review on the team corally Mammoth xp please! I've asked everyone and nobody sees the potential in that truck. 3s 2wd 50mph out the box for $250! Put it up against the slash and see how they compare!? Not the moxoo. The Mammoth xp. It has the longer wheelbase. Cool video 👍

You can get a redcat volcano epx pro cheaper and it's 4wd. Comes with various metal parts, metal gears etc.

@@TheBestOrion each company is a little different but yes all electronics and any mess ups on their end. As long as you don't hit a tree full throttle, they take pretty good care of you. Corally has my interest peaked because the owner responds to you directly on their Facebook page so it's cool. Arrma is awesome of course but if you go that route, I would get it from a local Hobbyshop and if they don't have it make em order it. Then when it fails, you don't have to mail the whole damn rig back to horizon. Just go to place of purchase and they wrench and send you home. Love redcat and how they answer their phone, redcat chat and all of that but you can't beat 2 year warranty. Just don't cut any wires. Altering the electronics voids the warranty lol

I have a fairly new one which i have driven maybe 20 times and i alreayd broke the front suspension twice by ramming the frontwheel against a wall fullspeed😅, ordered an aluminum part which should hold up longer hopefully lol

I used to race a traxxas slash 4x4 pretty much stock except for the gears, shocks, and pro line front and rear bumpers, and bald tires, fastest thing in 1/10 short course, got me a lot of dubs

If you ran it with a 2s it wouldn’t get so hot. If it was a two wheel drive it’d be fine, but the 3s on the 4 wheel is too much on the system

Use flex spray or shoegoo for the body

I like the looks of the slash so much but I don’t think it handels that well, the parachute effect is pretty shit but you can drive whitout an body but it than breaks the towers....

My slash got ran over the only thing that broke was my shock towers it is now 4 years old the only thing that stopped working since then is the original battery stopped charging

My ultimate blew through drive shafts and a arms on 3s until I upgraded to RPM and MIP, expensive but I haven’t had one go since I made the change in 2018, added an engine and esc fan cause the 3s got it a bit hot and it will bend the center shaft if you jump it hard enough but it does ~53 all stock on 3s
