@@lanycombo742 -Yes she was a very unforgiving, hateful girl for part of the movie, that was hard to watch for us too. 😭 But if you watch all the way through, she repents of her wrong (like Lucien did too) & both become the persons God meant them to be. 🕊

Such a great movie! My dear mother, who has gone to be with Jesus read this book to us when we were children. She usually read one chapter a night! When the story was very suspenseful our negotiations for an extra chapter was rewarded! Thank you God for my amazing Momma! A great story! Blessings!

What do you mean by "no woke agenda"? This movie had NOTHING to do with politics! Do Republicans have to throw in politics into EVERYTHING? That's just sick. Stop it. This movie is about LOVE & FORGIVENESS, that means EVERYONE. We have to STOP the hate. There is no such thing as "woke". The word is AWAKE, and in Christ we should be. It's obvious Lucien is having some depression and emotional problems , but as long as he regrets doing the bad , starts thinking and do positive he will overcome , and now the little girl is hurting and is going to need healing , it's just life , we hurt 🤕 , we get hurt but the best part is the healing process 🥰

" it may be that God has made you the means of curing him..." that was the perfect thing to say. We need more doctors and nurses like that, more grandparents, parents and kids like that. I have seen this before and it helped me to learn and remember so much... what Jesus must feel like when we won't let Him in... things that we may do or allow to happen that close our hearts door to Him. How we should do the right thing by Him and His Word and not just be good in general. How we should forgive those who have hurt us, even when it's hard... so much that helps in life. And to keep going, keep trying and don't entertain that ' I just can't do it' attitude. This is so great to have found this on KZfaq. Thank you for sharing this.

My elementary school teacher read this book to our class in mid ‘70’s. I thought of the book today when I saw a picture of a man with his wood carvings. I searched the internet and found this movie. Strong message about dealing with guilt and regrets.

A movie that made a great impact upon my life. There's a whole lot of kind souls out there. Only that we fail to acknowledge them. There's something good even in the worst of them, but we fail to acknowledge it. No one is born bad, but at times, circumstances portray them in a bad light. We need to hear them out. Look for the good in them. At times we are too hasty in our judgements. This film is a real eye-opener. Hats off to the producer. A great film indeed. It still keeps me wondering. The theme is something that is exemplary in today's world of selfishness. Hats off to the directors and the producer. I'm greatly awed. Wonder why it took me this long to come across a film of this magnitude.

I'm not looking to cause an argument, but only speak the truth. And whether or not you accept it, is you choice to make. People are born in sin because of what happened in the garden of eden. Plus, Jesus said in the Bible that no one is good. Only God is good. This was a good movie though. But the grandma did have some things to say that we could all learn from. And some or most of what she had to say, comes from the Bible, the very Word of God.

Repentance is a change of mind or turning from going one direction to the opposite direction. As the character Lucien changed his mind about being a bully and feeling sorry for himself to instead seek to earn others respect and forgiveness. And what is meant by urge is simply the strong desire to change. As the story portrays, we all need to recognize at some point that we are lost in this world without the Lord Jesus Christ. When we seek Him first, believing on Him, God answers and redeems and heals broken lives and relationships.

"For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." Matthew 6:14-15 As the saying goes about unforgiveness, it is like drinking poison, but expecting the other person to die.

What a beautiful story !!! Our lives are beautifully inter woven by Gods almighty light. The fact of the matter is that for every action we do or do not do effects others. Love is the only gift that keeps giving and by His light we can clearly see the loving thing to do for the good of ourselves and others. This was a very inspirational movie. The best movie I have ever seen . God is truly full of love and compassion to those who have faith faith in Him . So much of a good moral values learned in this beautiful story .

A good inspirational story. What happened in the lives of those three children could happen to any of us. May be some of us have gone through similar experiences. Timely encouragement and support from elderly people can go a long way in healing such emotional wounds. Some times how it works for the Good of all concerned cannot be humanly explained.

This movie is so good, wholesome and heartfelt. Love it about forgiveness. Guilty conscience that eats you up inside, which God made in us, to think of what is right or wrong. Faith in God, trusting Him and believing that He exists and hears our prayers. He is faithful. God does wonders to perform in order to achieve what He desires and fulfills the purpose for which He sent it. Awesomely inspiring. He uses mankind and circumstances to make life and build relationships through love, patience, forgiveness.

This was one of my favorite books as a child. All I remembered were the title, the author, and that a boy developed a talent for woodcarving. I couldn't remember the plot or anything else, so I just had to watch the whole film. It was as wonderful as the book must have been, for me to have loved it so much four decades ago. Well worth watching!

I am trying so very hard to forgive someone who greatly neglected and harmed a child...I know a Jesus says to forgive and I'm even praying about this...I'm hoping this wonderful movie will help me and wise words like yours will reach me also...if it wasn't done to a child I might be able to forgive easier but this is the first time in my 72 years on earth that I'm having this dilemma....any more words of wisdom, I need help...

My cousin and I had a talk once about hating. We realized we had never hated anyone. We realized also that we had learned our lesson from our mothers the one about forgiveness. I have also realized just recently how easy it is to forget the lesson. Forgiveness can be hard work.

We are not talking about Christ consciousness but about a REAL relationship with a REAL Living Jesus who will walk with us everywhere we go if we are in right relationship with Him and ask Him to go with us. What an extraordinary movie! Just everything it holds and all the lessons on the way to that can teach you forgiveness and kindness... I love that old remedy the doctor gave to the boy the shot of brandy.. in fact my dad would always use that when he had a cold ... works too! Miss yu dad❤️ Just found out that was the doctors father! A nice movie. The old woodcarver remind me, my Arts and Technology teacher, who used to say to me "Patience and Perseverance" if you want to succeed in your studies. He was right and I did that. Thank you.
