We've all had those $39 or $49 shop stools that we've bought at the big box store or parts store. They have a cushion that lasts about 3 minutes, then it feels like you're sitting on metal.
The Mychanic SK2 shop stool has a very firm foam that holds it's density even after hours of use. You get 4 swivel rubber casters that make the SK2 easily mobile. You can pick up the Mychanic Sidekick 2 for about $89. This includes an all-welded frame that should last a lifetime.

I'll admit the stool does look sturdy but any stool that has to be disassembled to change the seat height would be a PITA. I'm constantly changing the height on mine depending on what I am working on. I may change the height a half a dozen times in the course of a job. The best stool design I've seen lately is the one from Adam's Polishes.

I've owned this for about a year now. I want to review this. It cost a lot, yes! But it's so nice. I've messed up the foam, spilled things on it, laid sharp objects on it, gotten brake clean on it, dirt. I keep it indoors. It is hard to keep clean, as the colors show oil easily, but it is very comfy. My favorite seat. Wish the wheels locked and isn't quite tall enough at max height. It's heavy but that is a plus.

I have looked around for a while.. Vyper chair was what I went with. This one is nice but not close.

Can't seem to find any info on the drill holster dimensions. Will it hold a full size 1/2" drive impact?

It will Not hold a full-size 1/2" impact wrench. We tried the Milwaukee High-torque and it doesn't fit, but the mid-torque does.
