as a girl, that part of the conversation "where are you going?" "go shopping" "I'll go with you", is so heartmelting. being a woman, you can feel how sincere your fellow women if she'll say "I'll go with you" even she's a stranger to you. and that one guy who said "take out your phone and delete the photos" to make sure that the privacy of the girl is still safe. i mean, i appreciate those men here who really wants to delete the took photos of the girl before they'll go.

I don’t think he was actually taking the pictures tho. I saw this experiment done in South Korea too and the actor almost got punched in the face bc a passerby was so angry he grabbed him away and wanted to punch him, so the actors had to drop the act and explain the situation. In most of those experiments, the person playing the “bad guy” gets a lot of shit, i wouldn’t be able to act such despicable acts, and if i did and got scolded, yelled at, insulted for them, i’d just cry on the spot 🥲

@@hirokiakama5111 Akamesan, hello. Is it still a widely spread crime, also in Japan? I thought, people (and especially the police) would be more aware of this 😟. And Chikan is also still present, even though it is 2021 😖. I guess, now I understand what my Japanese penpal wrote to me: When I'm going to visit her, she told me that she wanted someone to stand behind her on the escalator. I thought that it was some kind of an idiom or an analogy (Edit: e.g. to support her or to back her up). But apparently she meant the actual escalator 😧.
@hirokiakama51112 жыл бұрын
@@pookyac42 not to mention stalker is just a normal thing, a drunk japanese man standing outside the train station and walking towards girls asking their numbers and ask them if they like to have fun is a normal thing,harrasment inside the train is normal. And guess what, if you are a girl foreigner here you will not get justice. Every beautiful country have dark side too.
@pookyac422 жыл бұрын
@@hirokiakama5111 Thanks for your reply 🙇♂️. Please don't get me wrong, but I believe this is inherent in Japanese culture. Especially girls get told to be nice and cute and shall never speak up. This is totally fine to me, if it is a cultural or social consensus. But in return, there is little to no support for the ones, who get e.g. molested by rude people who ignore the culture of "never anoy anyone". A few weeks ago I had seen news about some kind of Turkish club or association. They fought literally on the streets, hurting people. The police was already there but didn't know how to handle these guys Police had set up a red/white plastic ribbon to separate the groups but the Turkish people ignored it and got across to continue the beating. You really could see in the policemen's eyes that they had no idea what was going on and why these folks didn't follow their order. It's similar to the Chikan. They know they will get away with it, because everyone keeps ignoring. Standing up against Chikan and bawling them up - showing civil or moral courage to stand with the victim - all this would mean that the helping person will be alone. He or she is to loud, to noisy, to much disturbing the group harmony. The helper has chosen to be OUT of the group, so the group doesn't care about people who are not IN the group. There can't be light without the darkness. But my penpal told me that nowadays schoolgirls are encouraged to grab the hand of the child molester and raise both hand together shouting 'Chikan, Chikan'. Hopefully this will not be ignored any longer. PS: If you might want to talk more about our cultural issues, let's have a chat on line: PookyAC 😉 Edit: typos... 😄
@wingclipper2792 жыл бұрын
The first woman who help out is smart. She didn’t expose him on the spot because you can’t be certain what will the man do to you especially when you’re standing on an escalator. Hence she calmly walk away with the victim and exposes the man only when both ladies are in a more secure position. Her approach is correct.
@notarsha71122 жыл бұрын
But a simple wrong thing she did was the timing. The fact that she said it after he left is what was wrong for me. He could have taken the pictures and circulated them on wrong groups and websites. It is dangerous but they were in a mall other people could've helped them.

You always have to think about your own (and others) safety, she did what she felt she could do safely in the given situation. No wrong in that. Something that really gets to me is how the first woman we’re shown immediately gets physically between her and this perceived predator, then continues to protect her by asserting that she’ll go with her.

How do you know? Do you speak Chinese? Because as Chinese I can easily tell they're all reacted genuinely. That's how some people would react among Chinese specially in China nowadays. On that note, given if all bystanders were hired they must be really professionally talented, which I highly doubt they've the capability to find that many talented actors for all of their videos. So without proof such as "same bystander appeared in different videos" for your statement, there's no point to discredit their content, for the sake of fairness
