So the “Tres Leches” cake when translated to English means “Three milk” obviously referring to the 3 kinds of milk used: Cream, Evaporated Milk and Condensed milk. Its not Filipino but more Mexican as Mexico was used as stop over from the Spanish traders coming from Spain going to the Philippines during the 1500s when Philippines was a colony of Spain. Nevertheless, its a cake worthy to be made by all regardless of its origin. Congratulations! It seems you did an excellent job! LOOKS VERY MASARAP’

It is so clean! Love your kitchen, too! By the way, another famous cake in the Philippines is ube cake. Ube is a purple rootcrop similar to sweet potato but has a distinct flavor.
