As someone who grew up eating tres leches, I never realized I needed a chocolate version till now. I'm drooling.

I made this cake and followed every step. Its was AMAZING. And I have made many cakes in my life but this one was really top tier.

I've been making tres leches for years for my extended family (to the point where it's all they ask for for birthdays, Christmas, etc), and have wanted to do a chocolate one for a while but couldn't quite figure out whether to go with chocolate milk or cocoa powder or combinations or what. hi, a tip for when making these ( i have made a traditional one ) is put the milks or the 3 leches when the cake is still hot, that way the milks will absorbe more evenly, Also dont let it rest too much if you want the mexican style cake, the mexican style one, while you eat it, should be getting milk out of it and be more soaky. Great recipie!!

Just made this chocolate tres leches cake last night and it was amazingly awesome!!! I've had tres leches from most Latino markets but theyre too over soaked and had such a weak taste. But the tres leches served at The Honor Bar in Dallas is really good, and that made me curious to find the recipe. But finding your chocolate recipe was something I just had to do, and again, came out amazing! Thank You for posting this recipe!!!

Something like a chocolate tres leches cake is exactly what I was expecting of you as I was mainly interested in how you could make tres leches cake more exciting. Because your cakes are exciting lol. I've never had chocolate tres leches cake but I've dreamt about it forever! I knew it had to be out there and I'm sure there are some recipes online (although I've never bothered to look) and some bakeries that may sell it, but in all my years buying tres leches cake from bakeries and grocery stores in my travels across the USA, I've never come across it. I came across an horchata cake once, and while I enjoy a good horchata and cake, it was disappointing. I presume both the cake itself and horchata solution were at fault. Anyway, I digress. Thank you, as always. I feel like an idiot for having a big, stupid grin on my face from watching this video. It has me feeling all giddy lol. Very few things in life have that effect on me and your videos are one of such things. I always look forward to them. You're the GOAT!
