Mrs. Baldwin is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with over 14 years of experience as a physical therapist. She first went into private practice in 1998 in Tacoma, Washington and moved to Chandler, AZ in 2001 to open 360 Physical Therapy. To better meet the needs of her patient population she added an indoor heated pool in 2002 to her Chandler facility. Mrs. Baldwin has specialized training in sacroiliac dysfunction, myofascial release, TMJ, Bell's palsy and aquatic therapy. She has found that the aquatic setting can provide the optimal healing environment for many musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Her presentation will provide insight into the specific benefits of aquatic exercise; ideas and handouts to help one get started on their own home program. "People often think aquatic exercise is easy or for people who are elderly or deconditioned but that is not the case. If you understand how to use the properties of water you can turn a pool into a complex piece of gym equipment which allows you to challenge multiple joints, muscles and neurological functions all at the same time."
