Correct call, if it wasn't then the 1st base coach wouldn't have been telling him to get on the base.

Actually, Ian, if you pause the video at about 9 seconds, you’ll see the first base coach doing his job. He’s already pointing to first before Mancini takes his half step into fair territory (because when there’s a passed ball that’s not visible to the runner, that’s what you do as a 1st base coach...). So, no. Terrible call.

The coach is telling him to get on the bag. The player is being lazy and not hustling. If the manager wants to yell at someone yell at the player.
