Trial Begins for Woman Accused of Killing Cop Boyfriend

24 күн бұрынThe murder trial of college professor Karen Read got underway to a chorus of supporters calling for her acquittal. The prosecution alleges she intentionally rammed into her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O’Keefe, following a night of bar-hopping. Surveillance video shows the couple at a bar embracing that night in January 2022. Prosecutors allege when she left, Read intentionally mowed him down in a jealous rage over another woman. Read has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

I remember her as a professor when I went to Bentley University (where she taught). A lot of students were surprised about the whole ordeal. She was a nice lady, I find it hard to believe still she’d do something like this.

Me either..it's a far stretch that it could be a cover up but then I watched a video of a DA who wanted cops to look the other way as she drove 20miles over the speed limit and the only way she got a ticket was because the body cam was on

If you were scared for your life, meaning on trial for murder, you would not be happy, even if you had supporters. If you were guilty, and did it on purpose, and then saw a bunch of supporters, you would be happy. She is guilty in my opinion.

My ex was a cop. He was a criminal, too. He committed several crimes, and his fellow cops covered for him. Everytime he opened his mouth, he lied. I caught him extorting money from drug dealers. that's why he's my ex. I could never trust him.

I remember looking at documentaries about this months and months ago ... and wow what a weird story . I can't remember if I read or heard anything bad about the relationship with him but I remember wondering if it was a cover up with the police and that he knew or saw something .

One of two things is true: She's innocent because she was framed. OR She's innocent because she had to endure months/years of abuse and statements like 'you better do what I say or I'll have you arrested' to get to this point. Breaking up with a cop makes you a target of theirs. Don't date a cop. It's asking for trouble and trauma.
