Twit is a song about her actual love life. She dated a guy who was very much in love with her, to the point that she was his everything and the only thing he sees in life. She gave an example, if she ask him to buy her food from a specific place, he will immediately drive there to get it for her no matter how far away it is. He did not have much hobbies and strong ambitions in life and just wanted to be with her. She said at the time that she was busy advancing in her own career and advices him to not stick to her so much and go find hobbies/chase your dreams too. The level of love they had for each other was different. She said to him, “why are you so obsessed with me? Please don’t like me too much, you are a twit (dummy)” She mentions that she told the guy “your love is overbearing” and in the end the guy left her despite her gaining more success in her career. In the song she says that she is also a twit for hurting the guy by saying all those hurtful words and trampling on his pure love. He wasn’t in it for her popularity, he truly liked her for her. In an interview, she says that she will probably never fall in love again in this lifetime because of this ex, and she’s sorry for taking his love for granted (even though it was a bit toxic).

OMG how did we get here already but I’m really excited! BTS, Seventeen and Mamamoo are my faves. But Hwasa is literally my ultimate female artist. She speaks to my soul the way no one else does. And she is so beautiful inside out. When she was starting out, she was told that she sings well but she’s fat and not pretty. She went home crying but picked herself up while watching her favorite Beyoncé video and promised herself that if she isn’t this generation’s standard of beauty, she will create her own standard. There are two people in dkdktv. This guy is fine. The other one is the one that has shaded bts on multiple occasions. He said something along the lines of “we’re tired of bts let other groups have some shine” which is ironic cause they made their career off of bts and when armys called him out he started cursing at army in a live and was just being an asshole. Typically in kpop, fans become fans of the industry. Meaning they would stan anyone that’s under the genre kpop (and hate those that dont fit the typical kpop standard like bts and hwasa). With bts, most armys like bts cause they are bts. Not because they are korean. So this guy doesnt like that armys are not giving other groups a chance (it’s not that we dont sometimes they just suck and also it’s kinda hard to support an industry that are so determined in putting bts down since the beginning) Their explanation videos are still good but them as people, sometimes not so much. Also theyve admitted to being paid or at least have connections to yg (blackpink’s label) and yg is famous for their mediaplay which makes it understandable why he’d want other groups to shine if he’s being paid for it. In another occasion, the other dude defended yg’s media play against bts. He got angry at army for defending bts cause he said bts is big enough so any hate targeted towards them should just be ignored (and he repeated again that army should support other groups too) Phew that was long. I've only watched the Mamamoo reactions so far, but I really like your reactions. I love Hwasa's solos. Some people are intimidated by her, but she is literally the sweetest person (or at least from what I've seen). It's become "popular" amongst other (bad) stans to hate on her, just because.

LOCO!!! Hwasa often works with khip hop artists, I think she has 3 songs with Loco. Their first one was ‘Don’t’ and is legendary. It was for a show, so you can even see some of the making process. Their first meeting was so awkward but they have really good chemistry

Honestly I think DKDKTV channel is fine if you are watching the explained videos. They have controversial opinions and in fandom that isn’t welcome. However, it’s their opinion. The explained videos are well researched filmed and helpful for non Korean fans. As Korean’s working in the industry they are knowledgeable and providing a service. In a way they do more for the fandom than most KZfaqrs as they provide a cultural context in an entertaining way. I think you’ll get more out of songs by watching their explained series. so, feel free, if you enjoy it

She’s taken a lot of criticism for being too dark skinned, too curvy for kpop (not the figure of a kpop idol)and being a Mamamoo she has said fuck them all and leaned into it all.

The guy rapping with Hwasa is Loco. They've only collab'ed 3 times, The first time was for a competition show called "Hyena on the Keyboard", where they stated goal was to put together an unexpected collaboration and have them write a hit song. Hwasa and Loco succeeded, with "Don't".

I don't know about the Korean beauty standard.... but she is absolutely gorgeous by world standards!!! Plus, she's very talented with larger-than-life presence, not to mention, brave, about being a complete original, especially in a culture that is somewhat homogeneous.

LMM is my favourite Hwasa song and video. My interpretation of the MV is the arrows are all the negativity hurled at her, and she was trying to avoid and get away from them throughout the vid, and succeeded in not getting hit until that one arrow that she shot herself. I took that to mean that it was only when she directed negativity towards herself that she got hurt, and once she realised that, it gave her the strength to face the arrows instead of trying to dodge them.
