Revolutionary Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake has died aged 84.
Known for his innovative styles and perfume, Miyake built a global fashion brand and was known to work with traditional and modern fashion techniques during his long career.
He died of liver cancer on Friday, and a private funeral has already taken place, Japanese media report.

This man is truly world influential and definelty one of the highest people in the fashion industry. His desgins wasn't just innovative his beliefs and clothing was for everyone and brought joy, he was very humble and selfless, I hope his art lives on throughout time, rest his soul.

I loved his designs growing up and an old boyfriend wore his scent. Good memories. He democratised fashion, he was legendary.

Very sad indeed for the fashion world to have lost another legend 😢 I have been his fans since the 80s, and have a small collection of his creations. They never ever go out of style, a very wise investment.
