As irony might have it, Trebek was actually an unreasonably nice guy. His class and humility was second to none. The man represented the absolute best humanity had to offer. May he live in perpetuity in our hearts and in our living rooms, shining his warm glowing smile on all of us from our television screens.

It’s going to takes months for me to fully process this. He talked about possibly giving up, but as far as I know he never did. Cancer is just needlessly relentless. But I’m glad we all had a chance to let him know how much he meant to all of us.

I grew up watching Jeopardy with my mother. We lost my mother a year ago on November 7th of stage 4 lung cancer. He wasn't a burden to his family. They enjoyed every moment they had with him. Yes they hurt watching him suffer, hoping he would win but watching the cancer slowly bet him, but they still got to live in moments of his love and that is what matters to most of us who have or who had family members with cancer. From someone who grew up watching Alex Trebek: It is sorrow that you are gone, but I am also glad that you are no longer suffering from the pain that took you.

My mother the summer of '98, cancer was taking her out,she was heard me answering all of the questions to of one of the episodes of Jeopardy(correctly I must add) and she asked me"How did you get so smart?" It was the first compliment my mother ever gave me of my intelligence, ( she always told me the opposite of that) So, I thank you for that, you'll never know how much that did for me or meant to me. It wasn't very long after that, (weeks) that she was no longer with the family but that is one memory you gave to me,with my mother giving me that compliment and that is something that I will never forget! Thank you again!We will miss seeing you ! Condolences to his wife, family, and friends. We will all miss him !

We are truly going to miss Alex Trebek. My grandfather always watches Jeopardy I don’t know if he enjoyed the host or not but he loves the game! Alex was one of a kind breaking world records including his announcer Johnny Gilbert for doing what he does for the longest time . I can only imagine how he feels right now.
