It's way cheaper to spool this one buying your own 8 strand J-Braid on ebay and taking it to Roy's to get it spooled. That's what we do with all of our Stella SW reels.

I use Mono over a braid simply because gives you a chance where a braid really doesn’t he have to set your dragons reels loss with braided line and it gives a little shark or bigger one a chance of snapping the line or god for bid rapping around whatever out there and so with mono it will strach before it snaps and it have missed out on big one because it was learning from scratch so you can watch my KZfaq channel I share everything with my subscribers because it love helping people with the important stuff like this

i need a kayak now to be able to get bait out with this rod... so that sucks, or go deep sea fishing with ,

Yeah that particular rod is meant for trolling using a rod holder. Does it let you change them out? But maybe you should have gone with a penn senator 9/0 or 12/0

the bent part can come out iv looked at getting a strait part but havnt pulled the trigger yet. Iv ended up getting a casting avet in the mean time

Avets are sick. Think you’ll really enjoy that. They cast smooth as silk and hardly ever have issues.

@@TridentFishing I've personally never fished Texas but here in Palm Beach we fish 80 wides 90% of the year and we usually put them on 60-130 lb. rods. When we do fish 130's it's usually the Tiagra or the TRX and we always put those on 80-150 lb. rods. We always use straight butt rods no the beach because you are usually more comfortable fishing it in a stand-up harness. Also we ALWAYS have braid backing almost always 1000 yards of 150 or 200 lb. braid and then i always use 250 - 300 lb. mono topshot. And also it would be a very good idea to get a good stand-up harness( I use an Alutecnos harness with a Barrett Plate ) because you will be able to use more of your body weight to fight the fish. Just throwing out my 2 cents.

@@jakelencher817 well i was trying to sell the gun for cash , the secondary market for ar15s wasn't great at the time , idk what it is now,, and basically unless you have the top of the market lower and parts they just dont hold there value, there so many on the secondary market. dont get me wrong they are awesome every one should have a home defence weapon 100% ill just stick with my G19 with 30 round magazine lol

@@TridentFishing ive never actually owned an ar15 but a friend was moving so we had their gun safe in our garage for a few weeks, and i discovered that i love those things, although we live next to the coast now so its more fishing than guns.
