I have watched captains on other teams and no one does it like her. Most of the ladies on DD just have swag and you can't teach that. I think it's what separates them from other reams.

I agree. I seems to me YCDT incorporated majorette just to battle DDs and they did their homework on DD. And as we can see from this last battle, once you have battled someone, you have shown your hand. The Dolls now knew YCDTs hand and could use it against them. It's obvious YCDT is not used to battles because they played that copycat hand too early, the Dolls anticipated it because they are veterans at this. YCDT is entertaining but if they were staying true to their style, they would've been battling Abby Lee Dance company.

Hottoddy Blue Exactly, I agree with you: YCDT had the element of surprise in the first battle and caught DD off guard. Alot of the moves/positions YCDT perform, DD are just as flexible can do the same moves as well . Once you know who your competition the battle field is more equal. Anyway, YCDT could battle ALDC in lyrical and ballet but personally I think those little girls from Pittsburgh would eat them up.

So true they should have had proper spotting maybe even some girls in front. They should of used the guys as spotters clearly they were used at the wrong times lol.

That's what I discovered when I tried to research other battles for them, I couldn't find any. That's when I came to the conclusion that they don't do majorette style but incorporating it to compete on the show. I think a lot more teams will do this to challenge the Dolls.

fefe thoomas YCDT Supastarz aren't just a hip hop dance team, they do almost all forms of dance with the exception of majorette. They're a talented team of girls with a super talented coach who was on that MTV dance crew show one year. However, I am hardcore DD4L and love Coach D. I think those young ladies from Miami are too talented for people to simply write them off, though.

Yea Thats Cool Even if the editors do show that "Copycat" stand, it won't really matter becuz you already know they gonna show that last medium stand DD did! That was like 1 of the highlights of the whole battle! Hopefully for Season 2 they show more of the Stand battle section for every episode.

The YCDT are copying that one move from the Ques! The one where they sat on the girls stomach while the other moved her legs. They did that back in the late 80s, early 90s when I was in college. They also showed it on Drumline.

That's the same thing I said. YCDT are good. I won't take that from them. But if their coach, their fans, and they themselves feel as if Dancing Dolls, who are considered one of the best Majorette dance teams in the south, are beneath them why do they keep competing against them and teams like them? It makes no sense. YCDTs fans are always saying there are far better dance teams in Miami than the Dancing Dolls so why don't YCDT compete with their own kind is beyond me.

Because its free exposure! They have battled those teams for years. They want to go to other parts of the country and battle new teams. Battling them has earned them much popularity and possibly a show of their own. Not only has it helped themselves, it has also helped Dancing Dolls with their show ratings.

And because Traci CHOOSE to train her dancers the same as Dianna could CHOOSE to train hers, shouldn't eliminate them from battling. Dianna has had some of these girls for all these years and none of them have a solid dance foundation. You all should be upset with Dianna for not giving them necessary training to compete with better teams like YCDT who are going to give you the entire book when they hit the floor.

If yes then SORRY!! as nope i actually do like this mixture of the older plus younger YCDT teams girls,and they were extremely good for their ages plus who they were up against.Though in my opinion(only mine) the DD'S were better in all of theses areas technique dancing plus execution of their stands,and please don't insult me if you meant too as my name should clue up to the fact i'm a man,but i'm not so delusional to think the DD are unbeatable as they're not.If it were the Older YCDT squad i believe they'd have won since they all attend some Performing arts schools plus are better technical dancers! Although i AM all in for DD4L!!! Yeah I saw that vid too & I hope Traci wasn't mad & yelling at that girl although she was in her face, but just telling her it's ok & seeing if she was OK. That girl could've broke 1 of her body parts. & also you can see Mrs. D, some of the audience & some of the Dolls jump in a scare when she fell, smh...
