In a review of the "Musiker-Couriers," 3 jg 1879/1880, no. 22, p. 104, signed »Ed. M. "[= presumably Eduard Moucka], refers ... to the relationship between the scherzo of Mathilde Kralik's piano trio and the scherzo from Bruckner's Symphony No. 3: "[...] On the other hand, the eternal feminine triumphs in the Scherzo, which with its lively dance rhythm recalls the scherzo of Bruckner's D Minor Symphony." (Translated from Franz Scheder's "Anton Bruckner Chronologie Datenbank" - Scherzo: 18:30 What a fine composer she was! Pupil of Bruckner's, fellow student with Mahler at the Vienna Conservatory.

Hi Ken Ward. Thanks for answer. Mathilde is my great-great aunt. Here I upload from Eduard Hanslick on the year 1880 to this TRIO from Mathilde. I hope, you can translate this in english. : Wien, Neue Freie Presse, 17. März 1880. (Eduard Hanslick.)
