TRIP REPORT | IBERIA: Lovely Short Flight! ツ | Madrid to Bilbao | Airbus A319

IBERIA Trip Report from Madrid to Bilbao onboard one of their Airbus A319 on a gorgeous late-summer morning in Madrid and super-rainy one in Bilbao.
Long time since the last Iberia Trip Report on the channel. While editing this one I've started to remember the amazing flight this one was... and I still can't understand why I didn't upload it before. The summer early-morning lights are amazing. Those golden colours over Madrid Terminal 4 crowded with Iberia planes are just perfect.

In Bilbao you can visit the Guggenheim Museum and the famous San Mames Stadium ! I must always think back to my first flight to Greece , and the next Travel i have planned is at 2022 a trip to Italy , of course when the situation will be relaxed ! In Vienna we can now shopping without wearing the mask !

In this case, I was in Bilbao just for connecting to another flight. I wasn't able to visit the city. Things are starting to be "a little normal" but I'm afraid that this will last for more than we are expecting... Hopefully, a vaccine will be developed soon... =(

I love the architecture of Madrid Barajas airport! And I was really lucky last year when I flew with iberia. They upgraded me from economy to business twice!

Yeah, me too! Madrid Terminal 4 is very unique! Really nice! :) Wow! Really? I've never ever got an upgrade in more than 600 flight I've made... Maybe just bad luck... I don't know... =/

Excellent video! I was going to fly with Vueling from Lanzarote to Bilbao in March but it got cancelled. BIO looks like a nice airport with an interesting terminal design!

Diving into those Bilbao clouds brought back memories from a previous BA flight I had :) When was this filmed? The airport was very empty! However still enjoyed the report :)

I love barajas, one of my favourite airports. In terms of architecture (T4) and otherwise. The Neptuno lounge at T4S is also one of the better lounges.

Me encanta la sombra del avión al despegar, la sierra de Madrid. Todo. Un detalle, al ver uno de los vehículos amarillos “Follow me”, ¿Cuando sálen? ¿Cuando no hay taxeo planeado? Por otra parte no vi inmediatamente este vídeo cuando salió ayer porque tuve que estar leyendo sobre el cierre de LEVEL Europe. ¿Podrán ser los vuelos ya planeados absorbidos por Vueling? Estoy preocupado. Gracias. Finalmente se salvó LAUDA y quebró LEVEL. Saludos. Que te vaya todo bien.

Pues la verdad es que no creo que volvamos a por un céntimo del precio de esos billetes. A mi no han tenido la decencia ni de informarme de que mi vuelo estaba cancelado... Yo me iría buscando billete con otra aerolínea cuanto antes. Saludos!

El vídeo ha estado bien la primera parte con esas bonitas vistas de Madrid y alrededores se aprecian muy bien por estar despejado los pueblos y paisajes, no tanto en la aproximación a Bilbao que se aprecia poco o nada salvo cuando ha aterrizado el avión y el edificio singular que tu describes lo llaman la paloma . Hi, great video! Do you know if the Iberia A340-600 will fly any more scheduled routes as Iberia announced their retirement? Maybe MAD-LHR for a few more months?

Thanks a lot, Ross! Glad that you've enjoyed it! I'm afraid that the Iberia A346 won't fly ever again. What I've read is that they were retiring them immediately. WIth the COVID crisis, their A330/A350 fleet is more than enough to cope with all the demand... So sad... =(

Nice! Hicimos un vuelo corto Madrid - Valencia con Iberia, cuando se suponía que todos habíamos abordado, nos avisan que falta una persona. Esperamos 1 hora... en el calor de pleno verano. La buena noticia, el capitán nos informa que harán todo lo posible para recuperar el tiempo perdido. Según recuerdo el viaje duraba 2 horas... llegamos en una hora ¡fue increíble!

Siento decirte que el vuelo de Madrid a Valencia no dura más de 45-50 minutos nunca jeje Es de los vuelos más cortos que opera Iberia, tan solo 300 km. Saludos :)

@@OnBoardHD XD entiendo, lo único puedo asegurar en ese caso es que estuvo lleno de turbulencia, habian nubes gordas de lluvia. No he viajado mucho por eso creo que lo recuerdo como un viaje divertido, como un niño lo haría ;) Saludos.

2) presento quiebra LAN que hacia vuelos de cabotajes y largas distancia ,a proposito de JRT SMART ,saco las instrucciones para poder viajar a parir de setiembre supuestamente ,muy estricta ,como dato viajaran el 50 % de la capacidad ,del pasaje ,toda una locura lo que produjo este bichito ,danino ,bueno sin mas un abrazo hermano y cuidate chee

Lo de LAN en Argentina lo he leído estos días... Es una pena ver como todo el mundo de las aerolíneas se está desmoronando poco a poco... Aquí en Europa se podrá comenzara a volar a partir del 1 Julio, pero las aerolíneas no dejan de cancelar vuelos que tenían a la venta... la gente los compra y luego no los operan... pero se quedan con el dinero y te ofrecen vouchers en lugar del reembolso. No se cómo quieren ganar la confianza de los usuarios de nuevo...

Pues la verdad es que me he acostumbrado ya a la nueva y no me disgusta... pero la verdad es que la anterior le daba mucho más colorido...Yo creo que habría optado por hacer un evolución de la libra anterior y no una totalmente nueva y distinta. Pero los que tienen los expertos en marketing son ellos... así que ellos sabrán qué es lo mejor... jeje ¿Y tu qué opinas? :)

@@OnBoardHD Yo también pienso que cambiarla completamente es un poco heavy, pero es cierto que la antigua, comparada con la de otras aerolineas y como está hoy en día esa faceta de diseño, está un poco anticuada, y no pega verla entre otras más modernas e innovadoras. Con respecto a la nueva he de decir que me gusta bastante, aunque a modo retro, y con tal de hacer un viaje al pasado, que queden todavía aviones con la antigua librea, es un placer para la vista y, ojalá (aunque lo dudo bastante), iberia deje algún que otro avion con la librea antigua.

Pues sí... deseándolo mucho... No había cortina porque no había pasajeros en clase business en este vuelo. Es decir, había clase business, pero no había ningún pasajero viajando en ella, así que no pusieron la cortina. saludos

Hows the flight experience during corona outbreak? I mean i have some tickets for a flight next month from romania to barcelona and i am not really sure if it is possible to fly during this time. Hope i can reach my destination

I didn't fly since the COVID crisis started, so I can't tell you anything about that. Just encourage you to follow all the regulations concerning masks and all that stuff... check the airline website. They will tell you all you need to know :) Have a nice flight!

Haber hay clase business, pero lo que no había en este vuelo era ningún pasajero volando en clase business, así que no pusieron la cortinilla directamente. Espero que te haya gustado el vídeo! Saludos! :))
