Күн бұрынIts been almost a year and 2 months since I last flew on an airplane and I can tell you that I wasn't disappointed flying TAP's new A321neo LR! Overall, the flight was pretty smooth and all my basic expectations for flying economy class were met! Obviously the experience wasn't too crazy or luxurious but it's been a pleasure flying on TAP Air Portugal! I hope to try their new business class product onboard the A321neo LR!

Absolutely loved the video! I was searching some reviews of A321NeoLR and this is one my favorites by far. Reasons: 1) Economy seat! The real one, wich the large amount of people can afford to travel. 2) The video’s division with the moments so the viewer can skip to the part that interest him. 3) The quality of filming. 4) Your real impressions and comments based on your large traveller experience. I spend this amount of time writing cause will be my 2nd fly ever in life soon. I have anxiety and see videos like this makes me feel more used to board and pass 6 hours in sky. So thank you.

Great to see TAP flights with proper legroom. Their intercontinental flights can feel a bit crammed sometimes. Plus, awesome landing footage! ✈

I flew this exact aircraft EWR-LIS back in June 2022, just 8 rows in front at the exit row. Nice flight overall, TAP does a pretty good job in my opinion, although we were also delayed about an hour because of weather. (My wife and I also watched King Richard on our flight!) The exit row provided a lot of legroom as you might expect, but with the tray table coming out of the armrest, that somewhat limits width and "wiggle room'. I'm not huge but not tiny either, and frankly I think I might have preferred a non exit-row seat, sacrificing a few inches of legroom for hip and backside comfort. This is especially important when trying to get comfortable and sleep on an overnight flight across the pond!

Hi! As a Portuguese and former flight attendant at Tap Portugal, I'm glad to know that the flight really pleased you. It is true that the landings at dawn in Lisbon are absolutely fantastic and weather permitting they are always smooth and short. Your favorite airlines are apparently Air France and Lufthansa, but don't forget that in terms of safety, Tap Portugal is the 5th in the world and the only European one, after Air New Zealand Emirates Airlines, Singapore Airlines and Qatar Airways . We may not have the fleets of other big companies but we always guarantee a good service on board and the best safety with smooth flights and a friendly crew. By the way, the beach you mentioned at 17:48 is not Aguda beach but the beaches of Costa de Caparica. The best known Aguda beach in Portugal is on the sea coast of Vila Nova de Gaia, which happens to be the city where I was born. It is beautiful and very famous for the quality of its fish and seafood. Greetings from Porto, Portugal.

Greetings José, thanks for taking time our of your day to watch and comment on my trip report! I'm glad my video reached a former TAP flight attendant! You're quite lucky to get to experience those dawn landings at Lisbon! They're absolutely breathtaking! As for my favorite airline, Air France, I do have a bias towards it however i still try to judge my experience fairly based on my previous experiences with other airlines! As for the safety aspect, TAP without a doubt tops other European airlines with its clean safety record! It's also great news that TAP has invested in the new Airbus A321neo and A330neo to replace their older A330s and now retired A340s! Greetings from Toronto, Canada.

Thanks for the support! As for the question, yeah I was required to have proof of Covid tests and vaccines both ways. It might’ve changed now but you’d have to check on the Canadian and Portuguese government websites!

Great video! I’m flying with them in 2 weeks. We’re they strict on carryon bag size?? I’ve been stressing out too much over this. Lol Did they make you put it in the bag sizer?? I have heard they are pretty strict and we’re making people who’s bag fit still check their bag because they had to force it into the sizer. 😟 Yours looks the same size as mine or just a tad bigger. Did you have any trouble with it? Thank you😊

Hey, Thank you very much! I’m glad to hear you’re flying with them and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed! As for the carry-on baggage, here in Toronto they weren’t strict. As long as it weights around 10kg or less you’re fine. As for the sizing you shouldn’t worry! I can’t lie I haven’t seen an airline use the sizer in a long time let alone TAP! If your bag is similar in size to mine or slightly bigger don’t stress it! I hope you enjoy your flight ✈️

It is not the beach of Aguda (it is located in the north of Portugal, 300 km from Lisbon) what you see when you land in Lisbon is the beach of Costa da Caparica, which is on the south side of Lisbon (on the other side of the Tagus river) and very used by those who live in this city.

Great video, and nice landing! Why TAP cannot compete with other big carriers? I tried british airways and service was rly bad, expensive and aircraft was old and noisy.

Thank you very much Tiago! Yes I don’t hear much positive reviews about British Airways and it sure is over the top expensive for basic service. I guess that’s Britain’s flag carrier for you! TAP on the other hand for the price you’re paying, the service is quite decent which I appreciate.

My wife and I are flying TAP on the ORD>LIS route and back in late October, but on the A330-900neo. Even though it departs at 10 PM, they serve dinner...I am unsure if I need a second dinner around midnight, body clock time 🤣! TAP's website states that the personal item is limited to 2 kg and overall dimensions smaller than most backpacks, but on another video I saw on TAP, it appears that they were not strict on that. Was that your impression? Thanks!

Hahaha I’m sure they’ll server you a second dinner anyway 🤣 my guess is probably right after takeoff! As for the weight and dimensions for the carry ons, they really don’t care! I believe the weight limit for carry on luggage is 10kg but if yours exceeds it by an extra 2-3kg they won’t care. As for the dimensions, they don’t even check as long as it seems like it’ll be able to fit in the overhead compartment! For personal items like backpacks and bags, I don’t think they limit it to 2kg, despite saying that on the website, they didn’t even weigh it here in Toronto. All they did was count how many personal items each person has. I still recommend you try to follow TAP’s baggage guidelines but it’s nothing to stress about! Hope this helps

Flying this TAP flight in 2 weeks, if I have only a carryon, can I go straight to the gate or do I still need to go to the check-in counter? Thanks!

Hey, I think you still need to go to the counter or those machines / kiosks in front of the check-in to print your boarding pass. Unless you have already printed it or saved the boarding pass to your phone prior to your flight, then you could go straight to security and gates. Hope this helps

For me, they didn’t check it but depending on the agents, some of do. Most of them are nice though! I guess it’s a 50/50 on whether they’ll weigh carry on or not

I don’t believe they have power outlets under the seats but they have a usb port on the IFE screen that you could use to charge devices

Mhm thats a good take I’m not sure why. I know on some smaller flights they board from the back but most airlines on bigger flights board from the front. I guess it has to do with balancing or something?

No I don’t think so, I think the (W) is just another code for economy. I know it’s usually Y but maybe it varies from airline to airline

No problem! I think the legroom should still be comfortable enough for you. The only “downside” I’d say is the windows because they’re relatively low meaning every time you wanna look outside you’d have to lower your head

ya air france, ,2 major crashes because of pilot errors ,one in toronto another of the coast of brazil , i travel economy on that airlines too i didn't see nothing to be better then tap ,i travel before first class lufthansa ,but first class is first class

@@Pajtim2023 The A321 neo's cabin is actually quite spacious. 9 hours on a 3-3 configuration seems unbareable, but the seats are comfortable! I found it similar to Airbus A330's seats. It's not as bad as it seems trust me!

You guys are always bashing ryanair pilots for their landings, I know its a joke but something you have to know its that on Ryanair the average age of pilots its significantly lower that for example on TAP. Ryanair it's a starting point and a good school training for them so of course the landings sometimes can be a bit more rough. Until the moment Ryanair hasn’t had any major accident, in spite of being the largest company in all europe, that’s for some reason...

I’m pretty sure I made this video before that pilot accident. It’s still a very bad and unprofessional impression under Air France! Accidents do happen from time to time like how the Emirates 777 nearly crashed during departure from Dubai. Don’t get me wrong I’m not normalizing these incidents they’re completely wrong but I’m just saying Air France isn’t the only airline that faces these issues. And liking another airline is also completely fine lol 👍

Lufthansa is getting worse than TAP nowadays. They stopped serving hot breakfast on long-haul flights and their service is going truly downhill. I would fly TAP over the overrated Lufthansa anytime. Last but not least: TAP gives Star Alliance Gold status holders a free checked baggage even on the Light fare, which the Lufthansa Group stopped doing years ago!

They stopped long haul hot breakfast? Yikes that’s an unfortunate downgrade. I flew with Lufthansa once in 2015 and I really enjoyed it so I based by comparison with that, didn’t know they went downhill! Thanks for letting me know!
