A few weeks ago I fell off a rain and split my shin, needing 8 stitches. I'm not going to let that happen again, so I found some new shin guards to test. These Triple 8 Exoskin Shin & Whip Guards are designed for BMX, but they seem to provide a ton of protection perfect for aggressive inline skating.
Disclosure: I purchased these with my own money.

Lawrence got my order of abec-9 50/50 bearings today and thanks for the personal touch! You rock man! I've been skating the Monte's for about a week (based on your referral) so far just around the neighborhood. They were uncomfortable at first even after heat molding them but they're getting better and better every time I go out to skate. I also had issues with the 45 degree strap coming undone and will take your advice and sew it onto the clasp. I also had to do some mods to the soul plate and 50/50 balance frame to accommodate flat 60s but got em working. Thanks for all you do and will look into the shin guards.

Thanks for the support! Yeah, flat 60 on balance frames isn’t really recommended, but you figured it out. I’m enjoying the boots, really great for the price.

Even though you say you can’t pull off White skates, these really look good on you. Probably also because of the T-shirt. The shin-guards looks great. I might try them myself.

When you do Top Porn it looks like you are leaning to far in and trying to lock super topside which looks really great once you get the trick down. But it can also cause a bad fall if you slip out aswell as make the trick harder when first learning it. When I do Top Porns it helps me to jump more ontop of the box or rail and have my weight more ontop when I lock and then once I lock have my knees and ankles bend to get the full boot down without the wheels rolling (I kinda just sit on it). That’s just what it looks like you are doing versus what I do. Also you’re getting so good like I remember when you struggled just doing topsides now you pretty much have them in lock! Anyways hope that advice helps, keep up the great work.

Sorry to hear about your injury, Law. Great little spot you've got there now. The mural is very cool. I've been trying to wear a helmet thanks to you, although it's not going well. I only wear it when I run my skate club after school with the kids. It's so hot here in Thailand and the helmet always feels a bit too bulky. Does Ennui or anyone have any plans to bring out a low profile helmet for people with the smaller head size? Also, has anyone ever tried bringing the hockey helmet profile/style,shape into the sport? I've always liked the shape of the classic Bauer hockey helmets more than the big round dome. Thanks

Good question. Looks like rollerblade makes a certified helmet that’s much more breathable. www.inlinewarehouse.com/Rollerblade_Inline_Skate_Helmet/descpage-RBSH20.html

Hi Lawrence Yes Chris and Adam made a great job but pay attentions if you sit down and speak do not project always what you film to the back in the film area of the art they have made for you it is to busy for some people to watch thanks and always use all your protections you have when you are skating is the first lesson we have to repeat even for a old trick i do and feel more save also with the protection to go totally for it

@rcotebass

@@BacktoBlading I do agree needing stitches sucks I've had my fair share of them lol but I'd rather need to get stitches then develop a hematoma because they can cause something called compartment syndrome they also can cause blood clots I do have a pair of shin guards only problem is the straps were cut off of them so I have to wear them under jeans like the old days

Does anyone know if this fits okay with G-Form knee pads? Im looking to get both and noticed even though the ones I’m looking at are the knee-only G-Forms, they seem to go lower than other knee pads. I’m wondering if that, plus how high the boat covers, if I’ll have enough real estate for these shin guards.

in 2013 i had start skating again with my Rollerblade TRS Details and i hit my shin on a coping at this concrete bowl a few times. my shin was swollen like tennis ball size for over a month. i had to get wraps to compress it at work and ice it every day. i think it was fractured . i never knew about these type of shin guards, til recently >_
