@UndertakerU2ber
@UndertakerU2ber 2 жыл бұрын
@@user5.56 The term “charged” refers to a defendant that’s been accused of committing a crime by the prosecution, so in this case, the individual has been charged but has not been issued a verdict on whether they are convicted or absolved of wrongdoing. Unfortunately, in some cases, the courtroom has been twisted into being “guilty until proven innocent.” Judges have ruled that for traffic violations, for example, a cop’s mere accusation that you were speeding can serve as “proof” enough to establish your guilt. They argue that when a cop attests that they witnessed you committing a crime, the cop is acting as a representative of the government, so “the government” witnessed you doing the alleged act. And since it’s the judge acting as a member of the government that’s deciding on whether or not you’re guilty, you have the burden of proof in establishing why “the government” is wrong in their accusations. Otherwise, they expect you to pay some fines since their belief that you were speeding hasn’t changed. While it might seem odd to think of why any officer would lie under oath just to get an innocent person they don’t personally know in trouble, there have been cases where cops will fabricate evidence and craft a false narrative of events to make arrests and get convictions under their name for promotions. Some are psychopathic/sociopathic where they get some sort of sick gratification from seeing them abuse their authority to intentionally get innocent people thrown in jail and ride along their suffering to get salary raises and rise up the chain of command. Sometimes, the issue comes from higher up, where the county/city/state is desperately relying on tickets and fines to sustain their economies, so they go out of their way to hit people with all sorts of bogus, exaggerated fines knowing that the court views the case as guilty until proven innocent, and that the person likely doesn’t have any evidence to prove their innocence.

@@algoner4421 What? Rich people are not effected by bail. It blatantly effects middle class and lower class whole degrees more while rich people stay out of jail for deep financial crimes yet they are allowed to money to avoid time. Where did they steal the money? Probably the middle class. It’s a drop in the bucket for them. They are protected from consequence. It’s even worse if a corporation was caught doing it because if a small business was caught doing the same thing…… they don’t exist anymore. Yet the companies that make it big and run the country are the ones that get away with it the most.

Normally I'd applaud someone for remaining so calm in the face a threat like she did, but I think she was actually *too* calm and far too kind. This man is charged with triple homicide and threatens the court and she still lets him have a bail and asks the prosecutor take his threat into consideration? That guy is clearly unhinged. How long before he's back in another courtroom with some blood on his hands?

Agreed. His verbal threat could prove actual & consequential to her, her family ...& innocent people whom are uninvolved. He & his threats should be taken seriously and he undoubtedly must be held until trial verdict or guilty plea. Society's, as well as her family's & her own welfare & possibly even their lives were just offered up for a lousy grand total of $15,000. He has displayed in open court that he is, (and even wants to be) a further menace to society. The Judge, in my opinion has not got the right to put people in harm's way like that, but rather the responsibility to keep them safe by keeping him incarcerated UP UNDER THE JAIL! DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT $200. PERIOD!
