Hi all. On the 19th June 2018, I decided to try out the new Hainan route, which links both Edinburgh and Dublin to mainland China. Part for the route is a short hop between Edinburgh and Dublin. After doing this flight I did a day of plane spotting, followed by a flight home with Aer Lingus Regional. This is my third time flying with them, I thought they were good back in 2016. I felt it was a bit over due, since the last time I flew with them. The aircraft I flew home on is the one that brought me to Dublin back in 2016. I hope you all enjoy.

Nice trip report. I was interested to see this ATR trip report as the regional airline I most often fly is Silver and they are moving from the Saab to ATR. Also I think I would be great if all aircraft taxi ops were at that speed.

Thanks for a lovely report! I always liked turboprops and that “buzz” the engines make. And how the blades look like they are in slo-mo on film! I am surprised to see the previous wheelchair passenger still deboarding when you guys are at the bottom of the stairs. Do they have tight turnaround times for their planes?

Thanks Mate. Same here, they are certainly different to fly on. Its hard to get the blades spinning properly on film. The turn around time for one of these is typically 30 minutes, so it was tight.

Very nice! Still yet to try the ATR. I like the design of the no smoking sign at 7:21, that's probably one of the saddest things I've said haha
