She could have died of love sickness not because Dragon didn’t accept her feelings, but because she was forced to give up Luffy since males weren’t allowed on Amazon Lily. Oda never said that love sickness couldn’t be triggered by familial or platonic love.

I think it was more "id love luffy even if he was (literally) the son of the devil" like as in satan/lucifer devil kinda devil, not just someone who has a bad reputation.
