Triumph Speed Twin LED Headlight install

In this video I install a LED (light emitting diode) headlight into my 2019 Triumph Speed Twin. It took some fitting and adjusting with a dremmel to get it to fit, but I ended up pleased with the final result!

I put a LED bulb in my DRZ and saw a big improvement but to me the stock light on the ST looked better

It seemed like there was more light with the original bulb. I would love to see a video update of all the mods you’ve done and would you do them again?

Adam, thanks for making these videos!! I’m going to replace with a stock bulb, my low beam went out. I did the British tail light conversion with the same rear turn signals you used. Great solution to fitting the Hepco Becker orbit hard bags, two saddle bags and a rear bag. Ohlins rear shocks correctly sprung with Andreoni fork inserts up front add full adjustability. Michelin Pilot road sports really make a difference in braking traction hard on the front brake and more solid handling than the stock pirellis. I could ride my hypermotard, but this triumph (2 years later) just makes me smile as I go down the road! It’s so well sorted and competent. Thanks for all the videos!!

Most LEDs I tried on the Speed twin were equal or worse than stock bulb. You should try GTR lighting's LED, the price is whats holding me back. Otherwise nothing can beat a good HID 35w kit

Part of the reason of getting the LED bulb was for reducing the heat from the hallogen light? would you think it is the case?

Are there any bulbs that would fit without cutting the logo out of the headlight?

I’m sure there is a ton of options that fit fine, this one was just a bit bulky.

Do you reckon a good bulb would be a better option, ive also heard that the led bulb doesnt reflect off the manufactures inner headlight mirrors and thus high beam has issues when engaged

Yes thats probably a good idea, and yes my brights are no brighter, just seems the beam is more vertical thus probably blinding oncoming cars 😒

You might want to consider adjustment to the headlight aim after putting in an led lamp

The video didn't really show much difference. I'm wondering if it takes a different housing with a different reflector capability to get the best results.

Yes it made very little difference, especially the high beam which seems to just shoot higher but not brighter. I’ll eventually get a nice standard bulb and try that.

Where did you get the headlight cover ? Seems a lot better option than a sticky film with lots of bubbles in lol ! Kind regards from across the pond 🙂

Have just been watching old re runs of The Dukes of Hazard and like i usually do decided to Google to see what the actors are doing now and where it was shot etc. Was surprised to see (if going by your local rides that I follow) that it was filmed in your neck of the woods in Hidden Valley and Thousand Oaks, I'm I correct. 😂🏍️

I think the vast majority of Dukes was filmed in Georgia. im sure some of it was here though!

@@AdamCroll just the first 5 episodes were filmed in Georgia the rest in your area. Maybe you could do a bit of research on the locations and do some new videos on that subject. 🤔😎
