I found your channel looking for KA break disc information. But I've discovered a whole treasure trove of car tech videos. And now I discover you're a biker too 🎉 I bought a mityvac for changing brake fluid on bikes but I actually find it easier using the old school lever method.

Thats great , yeah I try get out on the bike whenever I can aha, I also find it easier / more effective on a bike doing it the old fashion way funnily enough... bled my clutch on the bike the other day with a hydraulic wasnt 100% happy with it, so did it old school way and its sweet as now..... cant beat some old school techniques sometimes. Thanks for watching and commenting 😀👍

@@ALLTHINGSJIM While we're talking bleeding brakes, here's a question for you!! I bled the brakes on the KA the other day, but the old fluid was the same colour as the new so I struggled to see when the new stuff was in the system. I'm only a keen home tinkerer so wondering how the pro's know when the new fluid is in?

Did you suck the stuff out the reservour first? Typically I suck the old stuff out that first fill it to the brim then go to the furthest bleed nipple away and start there, suck it out that one until it goes down to the minimum , do that twice then move to the next and repeat, usually takes a 3/4 of the litre bottle doing it that way. 👍

ALL THINGS JIM I did use the mittyvac to empty the reservoir first. In the past I’ve been able to see the colour of the fluid change as it comes out the bleed nipple. This time there was virtually no colour difference, we’ve only had the car a year so maybe the fluid was newer than I assumed! I need to get myself a water content checker 👌🏻 Thanks for the advice Jim 👍🏻
