Fun fact, we’ve seen a 60% increase in tooth decay in young kids since the pandemic lockdowns messed with all our schedules and no one went to the dentist. So Melissa and Doug are on to something

Melissa&Doug is one of the most wholesome toy company. If you ever have to buy for a little kid, it's a great place to start looking. They're amazingly consistent and the toys are really well made. And affordable! (And no, I don't work for them but maybe I should...)

My great grandma always save the wrapping paper and used it to line her dresser drawers. Like a little christmas surprise everytime she needed socks or something 😂

My grandma re-used the same fancy boxes every year. This and a lot of other hording adjacent behaviors probably go back to living through the great depression as a child. The same might be true for your (great) grandmothers

Yes we reuse the scavenged paper! 😅 I keep the big/intact pieces if the paper has a special finish (texture, colour, print etc.) and will wrap smaller things with it next year or use the scraps to decorate or accentuate wrapped gifts (like as contrasting backing for ribbon). Sometimes I make tags or bows out of it too. Yes I have a problem, no I will not accept help at this time lmao It's fun! ✨

As a person who works with young kiddos, I LOVE Melissa and Doug. As a line of toys, they are super cool and adorable and also really help kids with their fine motor, matching/sorting skills, and imaginative play. 10/10, does not surprise me at all that they made the list of hottest toys.

As a woman who collects wrapping paper after the holidays, I do it for fiscal reasons. If you think Im spending hundreds on presents for my loved ones, AND THEN additional cash to get it wrapped, you would be sorely mistaken. My laundry room has an entire shelf dedicated to wrapping paper lovingly stolen throughout the year.

I do it to mainly reduce waste. I have a box of stolen wrapping paper and it comes really handy when you need to wrap something, you're not running around to find wrapping paper.😄

I saved the wrapping paper from my twins baby shower and some from their first lil Christmas and their lil birthday party. I cut pieces from several and used in their first year scrap books and I used some to line the backdrop of a picture frame. I made a shadow box with their coming home outfits and 1 with their walking shoes. I used wrapping paper on those too.

Brandon's wrapping is great! When I was a teen, part of my volunteer work was wrapping presents at a department store. (Which really was just unpaid labor, lbr.) I was so bad at it the lady in charge moved me to doing gift bags only. 😭
