In this special edition video Peter shows you how he made a fold down table for our back door in the Troopy. Recycling waste from Bunnings and using some nuts and bolts, he was all done with it in a couple of hours!

I've got one of these small tables on my Troopy's rear door and it really is a very useful piece of kit. For those quick stops, it handles the stove nicely and the rear step is perfect for cups and plates. For me anyway, if it's not as easy as pie, you can kind of dread those stops for a cuppa.

Yeah! That's why I built it too! So much easier to unfold it and cook or just for preparing stuff, than opening the roofbag and taking the table out: ) One of the best mods /peter

Nutserts may have been handy to secure the rear panel. I might try those. Good work, though. Like your table.

Why didn't you just use the original insert panel as a pattern? That would have given the size, corners and bolt hole positions. Nice serviceable table.

You're right. I was thinking that I would use a sheet of paper to make the template. But your idea is the right one. Now if feel quite dumb. ;-[

With all the fiddling around, drilling and mocking around to put this table in place, how much did it cost you to put it all together? Wouldnt it been easier to just buy a folding tressle table in bunnings that cost 35 bucks????? Not to mention the time you put to put this folding table at the back of your 4wd....a 35 dollar solution ijn bunnings would have been an easier fix and fit !!!!!!!
