This video shows you how to install a TRQ water pump in your 2004-2010 BMW X3.The water pump keeps coolant flowing through your engine. Common failures of the water pump will leave the coolant leaking, or stagnant. Both will lead to overheating if left untreated. Install a new engineered to fit water pump from TRQ for total peace of mind.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:

I followed these instructions step by step and used almost every tool you used except the pick and power tools but wow this was easy!!!! I encountered no bumps in the road thanks to this video!! You guys are the best!!!

Well made video...... but after doing a few of these now.... grossly misleads you into thinking this goes this smooth.

You have to bleed the cooling system every time after it was drained and refilled. It will take 12 minutes so make sure your battery is in good condition and charged. Turn ignition ON (do not start engine), set temperature controls in vehicle interior to full warm and blower fan speed to low. Press accelerator pedal to floor and hold down for ten seconds. Electric coolant pump will run for about 12 minutes (cycling on and off) to circulate coolant and bleed air from cooling system. When bleeding, expect a steady stream to flow from the bleed hole in the reservoir. Once pump has run the cycle, check level of coolant in expansion tank and adjust as needed. Start and run engine at idle until it reaches operating temperature and check cooling system for leaks.

I am almost positive this only applies to the N52 as the M54 should still have the mechanical fuel pump powered by the serpentine belt. So it definitely isn't for anything earlier than mid 2005 at the VERY earliest.

You actually can get the water pump out of the bottom through the same "hole" that you got the thermostat housing out of. Also, right in front of the swaybar bracket is space that you can slide an extension through, then put your swivel and socket on the end of it and get a better angle to tighten those water pump bolts down. Great video though. Thanks for the information.
