Super video. I had a MC-10 when I was a teen in the early 80s. I learned BASIC programming on it and had to make all games and utils myselve, because there were only 2 tapes for sale at the local Tandy store with games. Good times. (I also bought the 16K memory expansion to expand the MC-10 total memory to a whopping 20 Kilobyte)

Like many of the other folks in the comments I had to come see this creation because my very first computer was an MC-10. Learned BASIC on it and upgraded a year or two later to a Color Computer 2, and slowly added peripherals to it, including disk drive, Speech/Sound Cartridge, and the Direct Connect Modem Pack. Love your custom MC-10 laptop!

Hard to believe, but the MC-10 was my very first computer... because my dad couldn't afford a CoCo. It´s not true that this machine did not sell well. It did sell a lot, but in France where it shipped in red color and renamed ALICE. But 40 years ago we had no idea that it was in fact a rebranded failed american machine. You shoud try to import one from Europe, and mod it too. Your next mod should be to put that expansion device inside the case. After all, the machine is unsusable today without it.

@@fractalMD - There are a few dozen case types I've seen people custom build with quite a few of them making KZfaq videos out of them. One person repurposed an Amiga 500 case because they primarily wanted to use the Minimig (aka the Amiga) core. One guy designed a wedge case and 3D printed it. One guy used a repro Amiga case. Some have used ATX cases. It could basically be put inside of any retro computer case with enough effort. :) I myself have stuck with the fairly generic acrylic sandwich case as well as the Mulitisystem console-style 3D-printed case. The folks who make the Multisystem board/case also created and showed a demo of a handheld (think Nintendo Switch) case with a screen and battery. There have been so many case types, it is hard to keep up with them all. Since ya'll like the attached screen/keyboard laptop style, a MiSTer FPGA "laptop" seems like a natural fit. I think I saw someone repurpose and android phone shell laptop (where you put in a phone and it turns into a laptop) for a MiSTer but I couldn't find it again on a cursory search. If I had room in my house (and the extra needed $), I'd get one of the MiSTer JAMMA boards and stick it in a standup arcade system. Lots of people have done that. Then of course you'd need two of those... one for vertical games and one for horizontal games.
