They Key is to put it in a higher Gear. I don't drive Commercial Trucks, but maybe 3rd? Or is that too high, even for Snow?

This truck barely cares, that snow is deep as hell and if the trailer is empty that truck and trailer combined weigh at least 30,000 pounds. That truck is handling the snow like a boss

Did well to get that far. Our trucks in Europe would not have gone as far as that due to us mainly having 6x2's with a huge heavy cab over the front axle leaving little weight for traction on the drive.

I drive in Scandinavie and we must claim huge hills with 60 tones. Proper snow chains over both wheels. Quite often on steep hills front axle is off the ground.

@@thomtrucker1925 But yours in Sweden are still mainly 6x2 (Tag) are they not, just as in Uk? Only in UK we have mostly the useless Mid-Lift on most trucks

@Stian Myrdal Laursen even mid axle is not bad. Just lift it, make more weight on drive axle, use full size snow chains and you will be surprise what can do

@Stian Myrdal Laursen i know what you mean. But there is benefit, saving tires with mid lift stearing axle, more breaks and option to lift. I have tag axle on new volvo 6x4 and it's brilient this option to lift and reduce fuel when empty

@Stian Myrdal Laursen yes true, you can see them quite often on timber trucks or dumpers, 3 axles at rear
