Phenomenal acting. Colin Farrell is absolutely killing it this season. Best character for sure.
@farvertex8 жыл бұрын
+Bluemgwes Agreed! But Frank Semyon is also incredible don't you think? The character and the acting is much more subtle though
@Bluemgwes8 жыл бұрын
+farvertex Frank Semyon is the lowest of all 4 lead performances in my opinion. Vince's performance is very inconsistent, some episodes are better than others, but overall his performance is weak. That being said, I have to give Vince credit for breaking out of his shell to taking on a dramatic role. He definitely looks the part, but he is too self conscious in his performance, you can see it, he lacks conviction in the delivery of his lines. It was Taylor Kitsch who took me by surprise, I went into this season expecting him to be the worst, but he completely surprised me. Especially with his scenes with his mom. Farrell owned everyone though. Rachel McAdams did what she could with the character she was given which unfortunately wasn't enough to make a strong character. Like her obsession with knives paying off 6 episodes in? That's bullshit.

Sometimes people like Ray's wife bring out the worst in someone whose desperately looking for some peace and happiness. She has been through a difficult time yes but she fails to understand that the rape didn't just affect her but hurt him too to the point he didn't understand what was there he could do that would make the pain go away so like every other individual posed in such a circumstance he seeked revenge, did it give him any peace of mind? No just distracted him and eventually he fucked up things even more it goes to say that despite how he's interpreted as a monster beyond repair he's nothing but a broken hurting shell of a man, he's human... regardless of her stance with Ray's personality she shouldn't inculcate the idea into her son's mind that he's bad yes he's dysfunctional but he is a solid father figure who genuinely loves and cares about that boy even though he was posed with the possibilty that he wasn't his. Why take that away from him, see if the roles were reversed then surely the woman would've been given some sort of reverie but Ray being the man he is arguably a misfit parent. It's really tragic enough to rip you apart but well......He married a person who he loves but someone who didn't see the good in him.

@maltegodkas49315 жыл бұрын
Wait, you think Ray was affected worse by the rape than the person who was the victim of the rape? No, ray is just a weak man who takes out his anger on everything and everyone around him instead of actually dealing with it and even when he is informed that they seriously doubt that he has a healthy relationship to his son to the point of them possibly taking him away, he makes no effort whatsoever to change his ways so that he can keep in contact with his son.

@Jordan Simeone There's a difference between "MuH StROnG WumEn" and being a cunt. A strong woman understands a strong man has to get dirty to protect the ones he loves. Skylar from Breaking Bad is not a strong woman. She was weak and reaped the benefits of Walt was doing. Walt wasn't a strong man either. He was a greedy fuck, only concerned about advancing his own agenda. He always said it was about his family, but it wasn't. Women like the one in the video can't handle the real world and want everything to be perfect and expect everyone else to fall in line to make it happen. I've seen plenty of women like her who boss people around and expect no one to say anything back. There's a ton of weak men like that too. They want to be leaders but use manipulation and emotion to do it. Strong men and strong women earn respect by paying their dues and helping those around them even if it means getting dirty and doing things that might not fit into the world of unicorns and rainbows a lot of people seem to expect this world to be.
@PlayStationElation004 жыл бұрын

Great character and a Truly incredible performance. If s2 got better reviews from critics I really think he would’ve been the frontrunner for best actor Emmy. What a great actor. S2 had some problems and was a little convoluted but lookin back I think it’s really solid and just had a super tough job following s1

I agree with everyone that Colin is a great actor, I love him in this season--but in reality we all wouldnt feel so bad if Abigail didnt have such a strong ex wife character-she cuts to his core and a lot of men can relate to that deep cutting

What’s the point of having kids with a really aggressive guy then leaving him because he’s too aggressive. Women need to take more responsibility - the guy asks the girl out, it’s up to her to say yes or no.

Until the end Ray did everything right. That freeway scene was a gut punch, it reminded me of Deniro in heat. He was sooooo close to getting away and being happy, but u knew it was in his character to turnoff. I understand why they both did but aaaarrrgggghhh.

Women need to come down off their high horses about how to handle difficult things and people in life. Talking it out doesn't work in some areas of life and I love how he handled his son's bully, would have given him a blowie for doing that if I were the wife.

I swear people love putting the protagonist on the biggest pedastal ever and throw down any character that DARES oppose him. Especially if the MC is male and the person opposing him is a female. Case in point: Skyler White

Well it needs to happen anyway because guns are like everyone. Just grab on from his dad's cupboard and shoot up the bully. That will teach him. Now he is not a pussy anymore.

So wasn't there another way of dealing with it, idk, scaring the kid, tell his dad to discipline his son or be a cop and arrest the kid for theft bring back all the shit he did to his son and throw the book at him legally but did he ? NAH He threatened to kill the kids parents rape his fathers beaten corpse over his mother, commited felony assault on the kids dad, and put himself in a position where he could lose his job and go to prison, its a show I get iy, but in real life there were so many ways to deal with it swiftly but nah violence, Merica !!!
