The safest time to fly is during your second trimester, according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. The reason for this is because you are past the timeframe when most miscarriages naturally occur and before being at risk of going into labor too early. The flight itself would not cause either scenario but it can be very challenging if it occurs while you are in the air. Flying is not recommended after 35 weeks.
