They were living in 2 different wor[ds. The mother doted on her son and wanted the best for him according to her world views forgetting the fact that her young son was growing up in a different world. If only the school had detected these issues and referred them to professional help like social workers and counsellors, perhaps the tragedy could be prevented.

@@willanand3830 Exactly this. People who move to the West from more traditional cultures don't understand that their kids will be exposed to other values and that this will be a source of constant conflict, unless they accept and tolerate those influences on their kids ... one could almost have predicted something like this before she moved to the US.

So he was 17, had 1 year to go before being an adult and being able to make his own decisions… and still didn’t think “hmm it would be a good idea to just wait 1 MORE YEAR instead of spending the rest of my days in prison”??? What an evil idiot.
@mabuhayPinay
@mabuhayPinay 10 сағат бұрын
I don't think it's about waiting 1 more year but perhaps in their heritage/religion, the son is called upon the duty to care for his mother; otherwise he is a bad son -- to the mother and society. He won't be able to shake it off. Mother's death was his freedom. He was a shining star whose mom's conservative beliefs and clinginess were antithetical to things he wanted to do, places he wanted to go.

Which is why I decided to live a peaceful happy life and never breed. I married a good kind man who also didn’t want kids. Babies may be cute, toddlers funny but they All turn into evil teenagers. And knowing what a horrible teen I was after my parents divorce, how I made her worry and ran away and did drugs and was just a terrible child. I didn’t want a child like I was. I have been apologizing to my mom my whole life for my teenage years. My dad died of brain tumor when I was younger. I told my mom she would have to hope for grand kids from my only sibling, my sister. Coz I will never breed. Not only because I didn’t want a horrible evil child. But I didn’t want to bring a child into this evil messed up world. Hubby and I did adopt dogs and cats and are huge animal lovers. We have lost a few to old age. So we know heartbreak. But I tell u nobody loves u like your dog. And even dogs turn into unruly teen dogs. They don’t hurt or kill u. They just need training. Which i studied about and learned how to properly train them using treats and not by using fear or corporal punishment . Coz we are huge Rottweiler lovers. They do need training . I never thought I’d love anyone as much as I loved my dogs. My cats too, but they’re more independent . They were adopted as strays so we just let them be in and out cats. We wanted them to be happy so we spoiled them. Now u understand why I would not make a good parent. I just knew. And raising spoiled entitled kids is just about a recipe for disaster.

So true! At 18 yrs. old I gave my son a nice new car paid for it had just 53,000 miles on it and later instead if being so grateful that he doesn't have car payments like his other friends his age....his response was I never asked you for a car nor wanted a car! Could you believe that ! Yep I gave him EVERYTHING and unfortunately he appreciates NOTHING and is a Narcissist who sees the world as pointless. It hurts so bad when I hear him talk like that. He was given so much love & attention and now he is just miserable & see the world like that as well. He is now 22 years old and never see the bright side of anything.. he is simply a Debbie Downer. Oh I just wanted to add 1 more thing he is highly intelligent, very charismatic and an excellent speaker.....all this greatness for what! Life is unfair & complicated as his mother I am so very sad.

The route of forgiveness is golden. But be careful... every physical, mental and emotional abuse caused you wounds. You didn't deserve any one of them and that they changed the trajectory of your life. It's necessary to process that. True forgiveness opens our eyes that our parent was basically flawed. It doesn't stop there though -- you can embrace yourself with the love that wasn't demonstrated to you.

I think there is a element of culture/ mentality here. They are Pakistanis. Until his mom is ready to let go of her grip on him, he is never going to be "free" to make any choices of his own (from job to marriage) without running the risk of upsetting his mom. A lot of guilt tripping happens in some of these households. While the common mindset is like what you mentioned, move out when you're of age and start a life of your own, some cultures find this thought a dream they would never dare dream of. I think some Asian parents smother their children by being over-protective. It's sad that he turned out such an ungrateful brat, evil to say the least. You're spot on. The irony of wanting to gain freedom got him exactly the opposite.

Why all these extra movements that only points to guilt?? Danish is such a smart young man with bright future. What a waste of life! He could have done great things. Danish must be beating himself up for hiring the wrong person. I grew up with a very strict mother who would scold me for every small mistake. I was adopted by her at 5 and she always made it clear that nobody wanted me and she took pity on me. She mentioned it explicitly in every argument. It’s very hurtful. I would also be punished to sleep on the cold marble floor without any blanket or mattress or pillows if I dared to talk back to her even if I had school the next day. I felt very tense around her because she always picked on me. I’ve never heard a word of praise from her. At 17, I also planned something sinister but I chickened out.

Agreed. Also, that she invited herself over to his house. Ya right, I don’t believe that for a moment. I bet somehow he convinced her that his nephew was over there or something. Maybe he isn’t the one whom took her life but he most definitely knows more than he’s revealing.

There definitely is something fishy there. "She invited herself over." " she liked the way I talk to people, the way I listened." This just screams BS to me. Especially his age. Not many 20 y/o's hit up 35+ y/o men they meet once.

I know..... to look someone, who did absolutely nothing to you, in the eyes while you stab them over 40 times in the stomach and the neck. It is something beyond evil.... That man is real psychopath. There's no reason he should've gotten a lesser sentence than the son. He tortured that woman to death. He'll never stop being that type of person, and he doesn't belong in society.

So true but we know the saying "Money is the root of all evil". While I don't believe that saying is completely true, in this case it does. He was hired to murder his friend's mother simply for 5g. So money was the biggest motivator with this case.

It's possible they were too amateur and wanted to make sure she'd die. The types of stabs and cuts on the mother is more of a sign of struggle than something like sadistic cruelty. As strange as it sounds, it's not strictly out of cruelty to have stabbed someone nearly 50 times. They may panic and over do the killing with someone fighting back.
