Well this is awkward… Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian, and Michael Shure, hosts of The Young Turks, discuss. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.

"Former Trump campaign adviser Sam Nunberg said that he “probably” called President Trump an “idiot” in a conversation detailed in a new book about the White House.
Nunberg, who was fired from the Trump campaign in 2015, told ABC Newsthat the comment was sarcastic and that some of his comments in the book were taken out of context.
"I’m not out here to criticize Michael [Wolff], but I think Michael used flourish - I’ll put it - on the events I described," he told ABC News’s “The Briefing Room" Thursday.
The conversation between Nunberg and former chief strategist Stephen Bannon is included in Michael Wolff’s new book, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.”
"'If you can get this idiot elected twice,' Nunberg marveled, 'you would achieve something like immortality in politics,'" Wolff writes in the book.”*

This whole story/controversy could be settled a lot quicker. He didnt even have to say the president is an idiot. The fact he had to explain it to him in case of a "gotcha" question in of itself indicates he probably didn't think Trump was that bright. That isn't to say the entire text of the constitution is common knowledge, but for the president, it's expected they've studied it extensively or can do so on their own at least.

Mike C It's a disagreement on who succeeded the Prophet Muhammad. Sunnis believe that his successor was Abu Bakr, a friend of Muhammad and father of his wife, Aisha. Shia believe that the successor is Ali, Muhammad's cousin and son in law. I am sure there are many more, but this is a KZfaq comment, not an essay.

The haters do KNOW they're adding to this vid's views, right? Your comments arent making any dents. Like, at all. Seriously, I give up reasoning with you guys. The fact that you click on every vid and jsut go to the comments section saying tasteless things about Anna, Cenk, TYT itself...im starting to think you're barely cognizant of how bad you've got it. Lets hope you never come to full awareness and just - oh, I don't know - watch content on KZfaq you actually like and have zero problems with? I know, it's such a stretch to comprehend for you, but you are 1. Not ruining anything for this channel or its loyal viewers who find it entertaining 2. Not many of us are all that triggered by your comments, which are usually pretty tripe and nonsensical at best 3. by even clicking on the video and watching it even for one second....you're actually HELPING the channel GROW in it's views. So, yeah. Thanks for that. For clicking these vids Continue commenting if you want. And adding to the channel revenue. A channel you claim to hate. Oh you dont think much of Cenk, either? Or Anna? How unfortunate. But you know, as long as you're here ..... welcome to the channel! Maybe one day, you'll be one of us......one of us.....one of us.......one of us! ......yeah, I doubt you'll get that reference right away but fortunately there's Google, so.... *leaves channel for a few days, then upon returning, checks comments* Wow...they're still hatin'? What a shocker, he said, his voice dripping with a sense of wonderfully sarcastic irony. Welcome to TYT, haters. Keep coming back. Like ya usually do. Again...and again.....and again...... *supervillain maniacal laughter echoes through comments section*

yellow dog - The left is fixated on the appearance of virtue and civility. If they pause the overblown outrage for long enough they might start to become credible again. The trouble is they have been using outrage as a political weapon for so long, they don't know when or how to stop. Trump is like the ultimate kryptonite. Elitism is their Achilles heel. Trump feeds off their outrage and attention - yet they give him more and more. They cannot stop. He baits them weekly and they cannot resist. They are too arrogant to realize they are falling for the biggest troll the world has ever seen to date. Hahaha.

the question is why are they filled with anger, rage and hate? It is because they feel inadequate and irrelevant. There are of course many reasons why they would feel this way and act out. Funny enough the only way they will get the help that they need is through better mental healthcare and they ain't going to get that from the right. If everybody got proper mental healthcare then who would vote for Trump & Co.? :)

You have to consider the context that this is being spoken in and who is saying it. Politicians have been intentionally saying what people want to hear and maintaining a sterile atmosphere of "political correctness" or "walking on eggshells" for a long time now. In this context Trump is going against the conventional set of behaviors of previous Presidents hence the comment "He's an idiot. He's not playing the game the way we're used to people playing the game." It doesn't speak on his knowledge or what he's capable of but rather his inability to censor himself.

Interesting comparison between Trump and Sarah Palin. They both have a similar ability to talk in circles about nothing that doesn’t seem to affect their supporters, BUT Sarah Palin did have experience in government which I think should be a pre-requisite for running for President. She was the governor of Alaska and Mayor of Wasilla. A LOT of Trump’s failings have to with his lack of understanding of government, accountability that constituents and just plain understanding how much bureaucracy makes things hard to accomplish.

Out of curiosity I did some searching. You can see Russia from Alaska. Russia and Alaska are divided by the Bering Strait, which is about 55 miles at its narrowest point. In the middle of the Bering Strait are two small, sparsely populated islands: Big Diomede, which sits in Russian territory, and Little Diomede, which is part of the United States.

A couple things... the Sarah Palin comparison isn’t really accurate. In both cases their faux pas are mocked by a certain set of people, but their loyal supporters have never wavered. Also, it should’ve been mentioned that several of Wolff’s colleagues warned about his occasionally dodgy reporting. He has a history of inadequate sourcing, out of context quotes, and drawing conclusions his evidence simply doesn’t support. I’m not saying he did so with Nunberg’s quotes, but it certainly have at least been mentioned.

Sarah Palin was never in a position to make money for big donors. Trump still is.....so it probably doesn't matter how atrocious this remarks and stupidity is.....yet.

I dont think Trump's base thinks Trump is smart. Smartness is not that relevant to them or at least not as relevant as power.

Disagree with Anna re: Palin. The Republican base LOVED her. They had the same lack of standards with her as they do Trump. Just they were running against Obama, and not against Hillary "It's my turn" Clinton (McCain/Palin would have beaten Clinton/Kaine).

On a serious note, I'm amazed at how Trump Advisor thinks that lack of understanding between Sunni and Shia is a 'got you question'. If you are a president of United States, the most influential country in the world, then hell yes, I expect you to have some understanding of trivial differences between Sunni and Shia. The mess in the middle east can, to large extent, be attributed to religious conflict (obvious). Religious conflict not only entails Christians (or Jews) vs Muslims; there is also a serious conflict between Shia and Sunni (within Muslims).
