"The Trump administration has scrambled to control damaging headlines based on Michael Wolff’s Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, which was rushed to shelves Jan. 5 over threats from President Donald Trump’s attorneys.
For his part, Trump sought to undermine Wolff’s credibility by calling into question the author’s access to the administration’s highest levels.

What Ana is talking about here with that previous interview where Wolff defended trump- I saw that, too. I watched it again last night. It reminds me of a book I found- a very old book- in a Florida keys private bookseller shelf: "the Sheperd's Journal". I opened it to the instruction on how to defeat the enemy. It said to make yourself appear meek and small and in submission to that power that you wish to conquer. Make yourself meek long enough that the power sees no threat in you. It lets down its guard and brings you in so you have at least a rudimentary understanding of the fundamentals of the power. And then when the stars align, stand up to your full size and stature armed with the knowledge you have of the oppressive power. That's how to capsize the enemy.

Apparently this book was started during the campaign, so there would have been plenty of opportunity to record the Trump team's reactions as the campaign unfolded. Plus I think Wolff visited staff members off hours. Only about 3 hrs with Trump, but a lot of time with those around him.

Our local library has one copy and the waiting list on Friday was 100+ reservations to get the book. Today, Saturday, it is 200+ reservations. SAD. Just really SAD. I'm going to buy a couple copies and donate them to the library. Raise hell dum dum donnie and see just how high you can drive the demand for the book.

I'm about a quarter of the way through the book, and it's not entirely unsympathetic toward Trump. Wolff is obviously disdainful of the establishment, and does give Trump a tiny bit of credit for being somewhat anti-establishment, while acknowledging that he simultaneously seems to wish he were fully accepted by the establishment.
