Carl Johnson you just perfectly, albeit inadvertently, captured the disconnect between the right and the left. The left is very concerned with Donald Trump as a person- I don’t think you could find a reasonable (intelligent) person who would argue that he is a model person exhibiting tremendous character- he’s not. He’s arrogant, self-centered, and vindictive. A great deal of conservatives note all of these things, we just don’t care. Who Trump is as a person truly has no palpable impact on our day-to-day lives. Unless we allow them to, his morals have no bearing on how you, me, or anyone else function in America. What does have a noticeable impact on a day to day level is the economy, if and to what extent we are able to provide for our families. In that regard, Trump has undeniably excelled over the past 4 years. So long as the moral turpitudes aren’t reflected in policy & law- why the hell would I care that I wouldn’t want to be friends with him?
