1 year of using this product and I'm really happy. Convenient, not intrusive, easy to mount and dismount. At first I was terrified everything will fall of, but man it's really sturdy and safe 😅 but first trip was full of anxiety😬

Hi, on the right side, when I turn the knob the tighten the upper “cable” it doesn’t get tight. It just stays loose. With the left “cable” it did as the video suggested. Can u help me?

Hy Thule! Can be mounted on Combi Van, its a Ford transit mk5 (2000year) ? I cannot find this info nowhere,hope you will. And why the Hanging 2 hawe a limit of 30kg But hawe same attachment and arm (only shorter)like the model Hanging 3, becouse im thinking Maybe it can handle 40kg 2 E bikes, only my opinions, if you have time answer mi.thanx

Nice video. Interestingly, the Volvo S60 Sedan shown in the video is not compatible according to the buyers guide, nor is my Honda Accord. I don't understand Why?

Will you be able to use your back windshield wiper with this mounted on an SUV? I have a VW Tiguan, BTW.

If the wiper is above the two feet that rest on the edge of the window then yes you can use it. If the wiper is underneath the feet you can't use it. In most mid and large-sized cars you have the feet under the wiper.

I love this rack but now my attached security cable is stuck and won't detach to lock my bikes. Is there any way to fix this? Or, do i just have to buy additional separate straps for added security?

Is there any way to prevent scratches when moving the bars that hold the bicycles? When you move them from side to side they scratch the painting.

great video, With the pads seating on the edge of the glass, will the glass support the pressure without breaking?

Yes the pads need to be placed in that position. Placing them higher up on the glass or on the metal will cause damage.

Can this be used in europe? IS there a license plate mount? As it covers plates, you need to mount them somewhere.

YEs it can be used in Europe but on markets where you can't cover the lights and license plate, you can add a light board. But it requires a towbar outlet to work.

How is this not compatible with ford focus but I do see it compatible with other small hatchbacks like volkswagen golf or volvo v40?

There are no instructions acording to: 1. Bikes are covering rear lights 2. Bikes are more wide than the car. How to deal with those problems? I bought it to travel around Europe with my bike and Im not sure after 1st try it would be possible. Thank you.

It requires a lot of force to push the ‘arms’ into the sockets and to line them up with the holes. Far more than the instructions suggest.

Indeed. Had to push and screw to get it to fit. Was a bit scared I’d break something as it looked so smooth in the video. But screwing it in worked just fine in the end.

Please use the car selector guide on the page for hatch-mounted carriers on thule.com. There you can enter your car details and see if the carrier fits your specific car. The hooks are covered in a rubberized paint but the car of course needs to be clean not to get any scratches. The carrier is designed to work with plastic spoilers and tested and approved for each car we recommend it for.

When I get to the point of attaching the tensioned wires to the top of the hatchback door there seems to be no tension in the wheels to the side. They just spin round. What am I doing wrong?

you need to keep spinning the thing. It seems like its going nowhere when it actually is slowly making ground. It took us awhile to figure this out as well.
