There is definitely a purchasing strategy to it. The best way would be to plan out how big a track you want. See what set or sets would get you want. It may be cheaper to buy 2 sets or the larger 1:24 set. I believe all sets come with R1 corners. The add ons can be costly. Personally I should have just bought the $600 set from the get go.
