The Bible says, "Redeem the time for the days are evil" which translated means, "Buy back your time for the days are tough" but I don't think that typically applies in this case. My brother has that. He got off all grains and dairy years ago, and his gut has slowly gotten better. He was doing meat+veggies for a long time, but recently flipped just to veggies. Also increases disease resistance. It's almost like giving your body a break from digesting - a period where it can repair - allows it to work on improving/fixing itself. If you were a car, would you drive around in 1st gear at redline RPM all the time? No? Then fast. Working your digestive system constantly is just like that.

I've been doing majority of these for all my life. I go to the grocery store 1-2 times max per month very strict with do I have money for that. Self control goes a long way in things when you realize that you don't truly need those things. I don' tmeal plan per say but do know lots of recipes that work for me and buy in bulk and on sale for probably 95% of the things I buy and make food according to what's on sale and make it work. I used to be a cook and know how to cook from scratch (none of the unhealthy highly processed junk) making it taste better and cook in big batches to eat for multiple days. No problem with leftovers here, it saves me time, energy & money. Knowing the pricing on things with apps like Flipp to save of groceries. Otherwise I don't do the apps and use cash for everything. Learn the roads and know whether backroads can get you there quicker will also save you money on gas and save time. I used to drive fro a living and knew my area better than my coworkers so saved on gas and got more deliveries in less time so that helps. Go with free apps like Tubi to watch movies for free with ads but who cares it's how we grew up and can do something in that commercial time like switch a load of laundry etc. Basically go back to how we grew up in the early 80s and save money.

For the coffee drinkers out there - a thermos (or two as needed) is a way to have hot coffee all day long when not at home. If you wash out the thermos upon arriving home, you can even use "fixings" in your thermos. It is worth the investment over coffee stand coffee with upto a quick ROI. Even the price of fast food coffee is starting to inflate. Save the coffee out expenditures for sitting down and actually enjoying your coffee and the time spent.

Down here in Georgia, our water bills are based on how many thousands of gallons of water we use. Letting the water run while you brush your teeth uses a few gallons per month. It has no actual impact on the bill. Similarly, running the dishwasher a dozen extra times per month does not use enough water to make a difference in the bill. Neither does flushing the toilet, even if you flush it 4 extra times per day. So there's no benefit to "if its yellow let it mellow, if its brown flush it down". The shower, the swimming pool, and the sprinklers constitute 90% of the water usage.

Hiring a baby sitter to go grocery shopping might be one of the most tone deaf things I’ve heard from this show. These two together are not a great combo.

If you go by per pound price, meat is actually cheaper. I can get chicken thighs for $2/lb while most veg is over that for far fewer calories.

I used to be a vegan and it was way more expensive than being a meat eater, but if Jade wants to send me some of her tofu, the way she describes it. I’m definitely down. 😂

You need a full range of protein types, and it's next to impossible to get all of them via plants. Meat almost always has all of them.

The sad/good thing nowadays is that the store brand is better quality than name brand.

We make our own dressings. We still buy meat. We go to grocery stores that have sales going on. Pretty soon we will make our own bread.

I am due to receive a large inheritance, I plan to use part of that money to buy a house close to my grandkids. My daughter and husband are very wise with their money I am 62 and will be able to pay cash. My question is do I put it in my name or my daughter's name. I have worked in long-term care and know how they can take it for my care. I am just trying to make wise decisions with no inregards to this. I can totally trust them

Never go to the supermarket hungry or without a list, negotiate all your bills, and pay cash or debit. Those will help in 2023. I will record a good video about this myself, so check it out!

Generic products are sometimes the same as the name brand and sometimes the end of the batch or lower quality ingredients. The name brand has a reputation to uphold. Consistent quality. Generic is still a good choice if money is an issue.

80%+ of the time its the same thing, and that difference in price starts adding up. I've had occasional bad specimens of name brand and store brand products alike. I can afford to buy the name brand stuff, but I'd much rather see that difference in cost going towards my next investment sum than the name brands company's schmarketing budget who think they need a stupid new commercial or fancier packaging label to help sell bags of frozen peas and justify their existence.

Agree. I do purchase store brands for the savings, but must admit some products(not all) are significantly lower in quality. Appreciate the good, avoid the bad.

Good evening Sir, maybe try to do cost efficient drives. Like don’t pick up a drive that is doesn’t flow smoothly into the one you are currently on. That’s one tip an Uber driver gave me that saved him gas when the prices started skyrocketing

Yes, I still do tip even for curbside. I tip 10% curbside and 15-20% dine in. Every time I order curbside I am always the first one to receive my food, and be able to leave, because I gave them a tip.
