Acrylic pouring: Fluid art
My pouring medium used for my usual work is a pre mix of 70% “Mont marte clear craft glue and 30% warm water, if in the USA Elmer’s glue all works well (most pva glues can be made up with same ratios to make a pouring medium), I add my pouring medium to my paint slowly until I achieve the consistency of pouring cream, approximately 50/50 more pm if needed, not all paint brands go well with this pouring medium, so just test out.
paint brands mostly used are the Global impasto paints also Mont marte studio acrylics, or pouring paints, Boom Gel stain.
I Certainly explore different brands and mediums, it’s all part of the learning process.
Also iv started to add a tablespoon of floetrol to each paint cup and stir instead of silicone for cells.
If I add silicone this is what I do.
When iv mixed my paints I add 2-4 drops maximum of Helmar silicone, also Australian made, I stir in well.
I always like to mix up my paints and add silicone the day before I’m going to paint, and cover with a damp cloth, as I have found I have much better results.

Prayers for your hub's health. I am the wife of Mr. Hubbell, and I understand your concerns. He is in hospital and they had to remove a blood clot from his foot. He needs a heart valve replacement too. It makes me know what you are going thru. Hopefully your acrylic pouring helps take your mind off your troubles and gives you a moment or two of relaxation. Thinking of you. Thanks for taking my mind off my situation for a bit. ;~)

Gilly as you were talking about John’s situation I realized just how much I care for you . I just didn’t know how many times your videos have helped me out . Not in art always but in life . Go figure from someone on the internet. All this being said ,your story had me breathless until you said he was doing ok. So I’m letting you know the two of you are important to so many . Sorry that you both have gone through that. A few years ago I got choked on everything and strangled on fluids. The Gastroenterologist did the scope down esophagus and it looked ok but he stretched my esophagus. After having that done things have been much better. It help tremendously. Just to give some info and something to inquire about with his gastroenterologist. Lots of love and many thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

Glad John is doing better. Hope they can find the cause and fix it. Experimenting is fun, even when we don't love the outcome. I like the colors you used for the background. Interesting idea. Your background is beautiful. There is an artist in Canada named Sherry Moulton and you should watch her paintings that she does and adds crushed glass, glitter and other gems. When she does that art for some reason it reminds me of you. I love, love, love your background and balloon kissed flowers i just didn't care for the wispies this time but love everything else. Gilly you are so wise. I am so glad you and your husband doing better. My husband has had 3 heart attacks and has 7 stints in his heart. I know what you are saying. I would have to do OK on my own ,but love him so much it would so hard. God Bless you guys.

Yes that is a terrifying experience for both of you. I so glad he's doing better. I just hope the exploratory surgery yields results. So many times they can't find the problem. I certainly hope that doesn't happen to your husband as it had me. It took 3.5 DECADES for my CORRECT diagnosis. I literally was the one who finally figured it out!!! And then it was confirmed. Another wonderful wonderful painting!

Gilly, so sorry to hear about your husband's episode, my husband has those from time to time and the dr says the same thing, not sure what causes it. But I know from experience how scary that is. Hope all is better know. I just wanted you to know you bring so much joy to my life with your uplifting videos. As I said before , it's like having a visit with you each time I watch. Salad is actually a common issue with swallowing. I have had this and my Dr did a scope and though he didn’t see a stricture but they dilated it prophylactically and I haven’t had any any problems since! Best of luck they get him straightened out. It’s really terrifying when it happens

Gilly sending you and your hubby good thoughts and may his further treatment all go well. It is hard to see a loved one not well. My husband has had kidney failure for nearly four years and I can see he is getting so much weaker now. It is difficult for both of you when one isn't well. Just remember also Gilly to take care of yourself too, it is important. Sending your virtual hugs.
