Күн бұрынThe Food Company was named the best plate lunch on Oahu per AAA for 2023. I went to check out what this was about, as I have never heard of the restaurant. Located in the Enchanted Lake Kailua area, the Food Company has numerous plate lunches, bentos and many homemade desserts!

Aloha Misty, The Hotyah Chicken looks good and for 12.95, that's already 4 to 6 dollars less than the going rates I'm used too. And I had a hard time believing that the Hawaiian plate cost 12.95 too! Wow! Another great review Misty. Never heard of this place but def will go. Aloha👍🤙😋

So many textures and flavors going on with the Hotyah chicken plate! Love a turkey "thanksgiving" type meal anytime. Yes to putting lomi lomi salmon in poi or rice. Hope you had a good nap aftah aftah pau eat 😪👌!

Hey Misty!! So many food lists out there that we don’t know about. That’s interesting that AAA has a list of the best plate lunches in O’ahu!! Both plate lunches looked delicious. Good to know the Hotyah Chicken wasn’t too spicy so we both (Michelle since she’s not into spicy food) can try it. Laulau is so much better with some fat and butterfish. Good portions too and very affordable prices. Adding to the ongoing massive list!! Mahalo again for sharing this spot and the list with us!! Have a great weekend!!

Aloha Michelle and Jose! If you can handle spicy ahi you can handle the chicken. Basically the same sauce but the sweetness of the chicken really doesn't make it that spicy once you eat it. 😊 I really enjoyed this spot!

Aloha Misty: I hope you, and your young guy, are doing great! That was an amazing place recommended by AAA. I can’t believe the huge amount of delicious food for that price. The Hawaiian plate made me think of home with the chicken long rice being the center-piece - my grandfather made it. Yes, I can still smell the fragrance of the ginger slices to this day! Aloha Misty I hope you’re well. I love the food review as always, wow at the desserts 🥰 I’m a huge sweet tooth lover. That chicken lunch plate looked awesome, the portion is huge. Sriracha mayo aioli would already make me say yes to that meal. Yum that coconut pudding looks to die for, I want that now haha.

Yes I think you'd love haupia! I hate coconut flakes because of the texture but like coconut flavor. The chicken was amazing and I hope you get to try some one day. 🤙

My family and I love that place. Good variety and quality. this location is smaller wioth no seating. They used to be located where boots and Kimo's is currently located nearbty. Then they moved into A bar in Kailua before they moved into their currentl location.

Ahhh Misty, you have to go back again. In that same area of Enchanted Lakes, there are two other places of great food: Nene Goose Bakery and Blossums Okazuya. Both have great food, which sells out early, like before noon. Food Company is another great place, which Kailua locals know, as its such a hidden gem with great food and extensive items for breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts. It was across Enchanted Lakes, Safeway, then moved across Kailua Safeway and now back to Enchanted Lakes behind Safeway. Their Chicken Katsu was great, but so is so many selections and specials.

Awesome! Waiahole Poi Factory now has a second convenient location in the Windward Mall food court. More parking and a food court that's air conditioned to sit at and eat. 🤙

Maybe when you worked in Kailua, they were still inside Boardriders Bar and before that where Boot's and Kimo's is now.

Just been to ala Moana and got me some Jollibee. Got in yesterday morning. At 6:30 pm I was having a blast by 7pm I was sound alseep. I was wiped out after a 19 hour flight

Furikake Ahi, they suggested the ahi katsu.Can't touch the furikake ahi.You have to use that sauce, its tart like some type of ponzu.

Wow, my hometown has award winning eats. 👏🤙 I do have to tell you that I'm glad you didn't get the rainbow cake. If you want the BEST Rainbow cake, sis, I will hook you up! Non of this pretty Looking colors, no flavor Rainbow. MIKES BAKERY makes the best ever and it has traveled with me for every 'ohana event...lol. Every layer has a deep individual fruit flavor that is so ono. ☺️🥲. Lmk My treat.❤🤙
