Tried the grapple today. Wasn't Verry successful. Could not get traction to really try it out and a lot of the things I want to clean up are froze to the ground. I will try it again once it warms up.

It’s so slow to close. That the one thing that I dislike. But is the clamping force good I couldn’t tell it did appear that they could be manipulated back open with some weight of whatever you’re picking up?

I agree it is slow to open/close. I guess it could be opened from to much weight. Thinking about how it works the piston seals in the cylinders or the spool being worn in the valve would be the only way it would open from weight. The reason I say that is for it to open with weight is it would have to move the fluid from the closing side of the cylinder to somewhere else for it to open.

@@rsmstuff3178 I was thinking it could could just from force and the time you tried picking up a log it looked as if it were trying to a little maybe it was just pin slop or something or I was seeing things. I just can’t get passed how slow it looks. You think that hurts it’s clamping force
@rsmstuff31782 жыл бұрын
@@oklahomachris6298 no I don’t think it hurts the clamping force. Once closed the pressure is there to hold onto things. I think that it is flow related to the speed. Sort of like a fire hose. If you have a 2” hose and reduce it to 1” your pressure will still be there but the volume won’t be. If that makes sense. I was looking at the hoses on it to increase the size the size to allow more flow but I really don’t want to spent more money on it right now I already have a lot invested into it. It may be designed that way to keep from slamming the piston inside the cylinder.

@@rsmstuff3178 I understand that not getting new hoses and stuff. For sure. As far as my thoughts go on bigger you get volume but your pressure stays the same in water as I’ve been explained. So you might get cooler fluid or something. But pressure I dunno if it will help cause like in water lines the bigger you go you loose pressure but gain volume or smaller you gain pressure but loose volume. Then again pumping thicker fluid may cause a different effect I dunno that has always confused me. Lol.
