I was excited At first but once I saw the pice JUST FOR SHIPPING, i was like HELL NA. I’m not paying 100$+ for 10-20 days for my cammus to be shipped my plane. For that pice i expect to be shipped at lest within 5 days or have a cheaper option for like 25-60 for like a month of wait for delivery, then i might reconsider. But for now I’m out.

Great video. Just a note that I'm hearing from a lot of users is that it's 5 Nm continuous torque, with peaks near 7-8 Nm. So it's higher than the R5 or CSL DD as those peak at 5.5 and 5 respectively. Thanks for the review. Love seeing more hands on with this device. I'm really leaning in this direction for my next upgrade (from a TMX).

I have a 5Nm csl dd but run it at 50% in acc, otherwise my wrists hurts, and I also noticed I drive faster cause at lower torque its easier to feel what happens for some reason

One day we will finally see a complete package (base with desk clamp and round wheel, shifter, 3 pedals) on a budget, but today is not that day yet. Antiquated G27 remains the sole goat.

As far as I'm aware, those could only be bought together in a package and the quality was never fantastic. From my experience with the Logitech G29 and G920 (you can see my G29 mounted beside the C5 in this video), the logitech pedals always gave me headaches with the potentiometers playing up and the rattling of the gear driven wheelbase was awful. There is too much "noise" in terms of feel in the FFB in a gear driven wheel base, it's enough to give you a feel for what's going on but you can't feel the fine details like you can with something like the C5. What CAMMUS is offering is FAR beyond the quality of the older gear driven wheelbases and the prices are very similar. We are just missing a shifter and a 3 pedal set is supposed to be coming up. It's a great option for people looking for middle level equipment for entry level prices. Even the 15NM DDWB is an amazing high level product for mid level prices.

Logitech a goat? LMAO in what universe are they even close to being good? Logitech is the bottom of the sim racing barrel. I started on a G29 and regretted not waiting for a better wb that I eventually got down the road. G27/9 is clunky at best.

i might actually replace my g27 with one of these. the D shaped wheel is the only real drawback, but i love how insanely compact the whole assembly is. i mostly drive old cars in assetto corsa, many of them have very slow steering and are very slidy, so even though i'm not much of a drifter i do quite a lot of wheel throwing...

I seriously was buying this, I actually waited and passed by many deals for this to be released. But I was sadly brought back down to earth when I went to order it. They offer a C5 and pedal combo for a great $299US. Add in a table clamp and it's a very reasonable $329US. Then I went to the shipping page and it all fell apart. They wanted $114US(!!!) to ship from China to the Bronx, NY, USA. And this wasn't even an expedited shipping cost, this is the only option offered (and it's 14-20 days wait to boot!). This makes the great deal that it was to a feeling like I'm being ripped off due to the ridiculous shipping cost. Many others are also experiencing this and many are talking about it. If Cammus want's to be taken seriously, they need to fix this or fail. I'm sad having to say this, I really wanted this!!

They seem like a good company and their engineering team is tops....but they have to do this end to end, manufacturing to shipping, to succeed. I honestly hope they do as competition is a good thing for all of us!

Ngl with this new update 1.40 coming to GT7 i would love to see you become more active posting about the game always loved your content and the gr3 and gr4 videos really helped me get started in to gt7 last year

The speedo and rev light will be better for us playing Dirt Rally 2.0 bumper cam. Because the speedo is on the right side of the screen

Can you tell me about the adapter for playstation? What brand and how much it cost? And I'm in south African and if I want to get the wheel, how should I go about that

I just had a quick look online, there is a company selling GIMX adapters for 50 euros at www.advinstech.com/gimx that is more expensive than from the original GIMX website but they dont sell it anymore. If you are good with electronics, I think there is a guide on how to build your own GIMX adapter on the official GIMX website. Apart from this, it might be worth doing some further searching online to see what other adapters there are, I have heard that there are other ones but I do not know about them.

Hey, what are the measurements, roughly, of the distance for the mounting holes? I haven't been able to find them. Curious if I'm gonna have issues mounting to my logitech playseat. I did order the desk mount, because apparently the base attachment has more mounting holes, but I'm not sure.

CAMMUS have a new set of load cell pedals coming soon, I'm not sure of their release date but they will be likely what you're looking for

Ah sorry I forgot to mention that, but I'm not sure honestly. What kind of connection is the Fanatec shifter? If its USB then yes itll work but if not then I think it's unlikely that it will be compatible

@@deluca2922any standalone USB shifter will work on PC. The fanatec shifter uses rj11 connection and you'll need to buy their rj11 to USB proprietary (scammer) adapter to use it as a standalone shifter.

I've heard there is more than one brand that can be used. The one I know of is called Gimx, but when I looked last time, it was out of stock. I'm not sure about now. I'm unaware of other brands but it might be worth looking around or asking more people

@@jimski5358did you check the compatibility with the manufacturer of the adapter before ordering it? The Ras1ution offers the same features, but it's not compatible with every wheelbase. Always check compatibility with a product that circumvents hardware licensing on consoles. Playstation especially has some tricky hurdles for those companies to go around. Brook, the company that sells the Ras1ution, required an entirely new device to offer PS5 compatibility.

Understandable that some people wouldnt like this. I still think it's fine for most people and especially anyone entering sim racing I'm sure wouldnt be too bothered by this

I bought this knowing that i cannot change the wheel. But it is so cheap from where i live. I paid 183 USD including shipping just for the wheel. Once it is arrived, i will disassemble it and see if it is actually possible to change the wheel. It would be nice if we can change it to bigger circular wheel. Now we wait for the slow sea ship to arrive.
