Shuma-Gorath is unkillable. He once told Dr. Strange that even if you defeat me, you will become me. Mephisto once acknowledged to the effect that Shuma is far greater than him in power. The time-traveling sorcerer Sise-Neg, having already accumulated enormous mystical power, was unable to destroy him but only exile him. Shuma is supreme in his home dimension, and in hundreds of dimensions that he also rules. However, like other similar entities such as Chthon and Set, he is weaker in realities where he hasn’t yet gained control, so he sends his minions instead to do his bidding, like Nightmare. In the Cancerverse where the inhabitants worship the Many-Angled Ones in exchange for driving out mistress Death and gaining immortality, Shuma was one of these entities.

It’s like saying Starro is another variant of Shuma Gorath, they are similar enough and apparently they have met or encountered before however Starro is perhaps not a Godly being from a realm that it owns like Shuma Gorath who transcends beyond universe and more than one universe or dimensions.

I think that in his first Doctor Strange storyarc, he was so dangerous that he was about to devour the earth (Or something .). And the Ancient One had to sacrifice himself so that Shauma could be stopped .

@Matthew Schwartz, you are correct. We have never seen Shuma-Gorath's complete being in any story. It is said that his actual size is far larger than the entire universe, and when he appears in a universe, he is just manifesting a tiny aspect of himself. If a significant portion of Shuma-Gorath were to ever manifest in a universe, the natural aura generated by the entity's mere presence alone would be powerful enough to destroy large galaxies upon contact.

Gargantos is actually a different character entirely in the comics. Gargantos lies among the eldritch entities, but he is himself not a god unlike Shuma Gorath

Google says it was shuma. However, more reliable sources say that it wasn't shuma, and that Marvel in fact tried to bring him in. But due to copyright, they did the "knockoff" route in a sense, and used him as a character model of sorts. What we saw, was a multidimensional conjured demon from the darkhold Scarlett witch made to try and capture America.

Not only is it inspired, the original version of the entity was created by Robert E. Howard ( creator of Conan the barbarian) one of Lovecraft’s close friends. He made him to go into the Cthulhu Mythos so depending on your views he could be canon to Lovecraft’s works. Marvel I believe got the rights to Shuma-gorath along with the conan books when they bought him.

If you ask me no, that creatuer was simplely to easy to deal With and despose of to be Shuma gareth, and i dont Care how op the writers wants us to Think Scarlet Witch was at that point, theres no way she is capeble of turning SG into a pet at her desposiol, that creather was simplely just a monster that happend to look like SG, plus i know the Marvel Universe has a lesser creature of SG that just look like him, so i belive it was him.

Capcom fought greatly for shuma gorath's appearence in marvel vs capcom 3 due to his unique moveset that they made in previous games despite marvel's refusal they eventually agreed to make him DLC.(i dont get that decision if imma be real if marvel thought shuma was a bad inclusion then why sell him for 5 dollars instead of someone that could get more sales?)

Has anyone else seen this in your dreams before? I managed to fly in a dream and when I got up high enough I was suddenly surrounded by darkness and without control. I couldn't make myself fall back to earth. I seen an eye open in the dark larger than my own self and start moving towards me with a slither like movement. I felt intense fear and could only slowly wait to fall back down. As it approached I attempted to close my eyes but could sense its arms starting to reach around me. I entered into earths atmosphere and from such fear chose to fall back to earth upon my back. I pushed down deep into the earth but felt a wire mesh like barrier that wouldn't let me break through. Like a simulator coded collision.
