@desrochessimon3044 Oh gotcha, in that case they absolutely do. They confirmed this in 1995 with the Green Lantern Silver Surfer Unholy Alliances. The two traveled as far out into deep space from there universes that the two actually crossed eachother and it's been confirmed that they are solar systems away since then. Gunn said a Marvel and DC crossover is more possible now then it's ever been with him being the new CEO of DC Studios. I'm really hoping they use this comic plot. 💯🤞🏻

hey, so you wanted to hear more about the earths, well here you go 1)Earth 5 is actually Shazam's earth!! Originally Shazam, his villains and all his supporting cast were characters that belonged to fawcett comics, his original name was captain marvel! (because shazam is the word that transforms him back and forth between billy batson and captain marvel, he can't just say it) he was so famous that his comics were out outselling superman comics back in the 40s DC eventually did file a lawsuit against them, because there were several similarities between captain marvel and superman. it is the most famous lawsuit in comic history. the trial was also pretty long, hence captain marvel being out of print for a while. Eventually DC won the lawsuit. hence captain marvel being out of print for even longer. (you will find several videos covering the lawsuit on youtube, if you wanna check it out) By the 1970s Fawcett went bankrupt and was bought by DC comics. Now that they owned Shazam they decided to start telling stories with him (ironic indeed) but where will these stories take place? also what about the earlier stories published by fawcett comics? they were reprinted and also fans remembered them well dc had a multiverse, so they just placed not just shazam but all of fawcett comics characters on earth 5 and also the stories published by fawcett all happened on this earth and the new adventures being published by DC would happen here too.

We don't really know anything about earth 20, we do know that earth 20 (society of superheroes) had a five year war with earth 40 (the society of supervillains), also even though it is modern day on earth 20, the aesthetics and social atmosphere is of the 1920s. That's all we know and nothing else regarding these 2 earths. it hasn't really done anything else.

Earth 23 is home of Calvin Ellis superman or president superman This superman is the president of United states His creator Grant Morrison has confirmed that that this superman is based upon Barack Obama and Muhammad Ali, a "combination" of both. He is also the leader of "Justice incarnate" (the multiversal justice league made up of members from different earth, their base is located in house of heroes) our (Main continuity) flash [ barry allen] is a member and represents earth 0 (Main continuity) on the team. we don't know much about this earth, even if this earth's superman leads the multiversal justice league. (Justice Incarnate was created in 2015 by Grant Morrison, only has 2 stories regarding them I think, "multiversity" [2015] and infinite frontier [2021] both written by Grant Morrison) (Earth 23 however was created during final crisis [2007] once again written by Grant Morrison) We do know that all heroes are african-american on this earth. And the lex luthor in this universe was killed during infinite frontier (2021) while working for darkseid and his whole multiverse conquest plot.

@@ankurdesai8370 One detail to mention: DC originally put the Fawcett characters on Earth-S. One of things they established is that on Earth-S Captain Marvel was a more effective superhero than Superman and on Earth-One Superman was more effective than Captain Marvel. Due to "Crisis on Infinite Earths" the five remaining Earths (1, 2, 4, S, and X) were fused into one, with their characters and histories folded together. When the DC Universe was rebooted in "Infinite Crisis" a multiverse of 52 identical universes were created. At the end of "52" the Earths in that Multiverse were altered to be unique. Earth-5 was modified to be similar to the original Earth-S. I think they chose to call it "Earth-5" because "5" was similar in shape to "S", just like they named the new "Earth-X" "Earth-10".

Originally Earth-Prime was supposed to be the Real World where superheroes only exist in fiction. A few times they did a story where some DC heroes travelled to Earth-Prime and met the editors and writers at DC Comics. They eventually altered it where Earth-Prime is a world identical to the Real World except that it has a child from Krypton* who came to Earth and lived on Earth without superpowers. When his powers finally activated he left Earth-Prime and fought in "Crisis on Infinite Earths." *In the Earth-Prime Universe Krypton didn't explode, it fell into its sun. Kal-El's parents used a teleportation device to sent their sun to Earth. They were going to follow him but the teleportation device was destroyed by a fellow scientist. The child was found in New York City by Jerome and Naomi Kent who named him Clark despite the teasing he'd get for having the same name as a superhero (his mother wanted to name her first son Clark, she didn't know she'd be marrying a man named "Kent").

@@CloroxBleach-qy7vy This is why I had to stop reading DC Comics. Too many reboots, and retcons (it's gotten to the point that to answer the simplest questions that it often takes pages of text). As an example, Earth-Prime was originally supposed to be this Earth. Then due to later alterations it was renamed "Earth-33." My own head cannon was that Earth-Prime was identical to this Earth except that there is a Clark Kent who came from Krypton, eventually gained superpowers, and left to participate in "Crisis on Infinite Earths.".

For the animated movies I started with everything after Justice League Unlimited to present day, then backtracked (Superman Doomsday ‘07-Justice League: Warworld), (Mask of the Phantasm-Brainiac Attacks ‘05)

That was before crisis on infinite earths, after crisis only one remained. then 52 happened, giving us 52. Then new 52 was just the previous 52 universes exactly the same, the only changes happened to earth 0. Then we found out that below the multiverse exists the dark multiverse. It is made from universes that were not supposed to exist, usually they were destroyed after they were created but now they just keep pilling up below the multiverse and boom dark multiverse. Now as of dark crisis, we found out that the original multiverse before crisis is actually dead and below the multiverse, they even renamed it to multiverse 2 Now we know there are multiple multiverses, and the comics multiverse is a "local" multiverse, with 52 universes and the pre crisis multiverse dead below it. As for the dark multiverse, it is not just below 1 multiverse because all earths it has are ones which were never suppose to exist, its basically a big junk pile.

That is the reason why the heroes believe that the versions of The Pre-Crisis Multiverse which they knew are gone from existence because even Oliver Queen and The Anti-Monitor genuinely believe that the previous version of The Pre-Crisis Multiverse is gone forever from existence

The Presence is the most powerful being. He is more powerful than then the 6th dimensional beings and the 5th dimensional beings. He created the Source and the Sourcewall. Before he created existence, it was nothing but him and the overvoid. He resides in heaven and he rarely interacts with creation / multiverse. If he wanted to, he could destroy everyone.

There are multiverses within the DC Omniverse. However we have not seen a direct example of it, it’s only mentioned that there are more out there. The only real one we have seen is the Dark Multiverse which is under the Local Multiverse.

According to "The Multiversity" written Grant Morrison, Brother Power The Geek exists on Earth-47, along other characters from the Psychedelic Era of comics like Prez, and Sunshine Superman.

well New earth was the name used by the central universe (Dc's main continuity) before prime earth. After Flash point, the name was changed to prime earth. there isn't a universe called new earth out there. it was just a name being used by the main continuity, before crisis on infinite earths it was named earth one. if you want a numerical designation. it is earth 0. before crisis it was named as earth one, after crisis as new earth and after flashpoint prime earth. after the next reboot it may change the name.

Originally, the Multiverse was used to explain the various inconsistences in the DC Universe. It came out of an issue of "The Flash" (I think it was issue #123) where the current Flash met the Golden Age Flash. Later, they established the original heroes were from Earth-Two and debuted in the 1930s, and current heroes were from Earth-One and debuted in the 1950s. Then they started adding more and more Earths to house the various characters that DC had purchased from other companies (such as Fawcett, Quality, Fox, and Charlton). The problem came when they started making mistakes. As an example, Black Canary was originally an Earth-Two character but suddenly she was on Earth-One and was about 30 years younger without an explanation. They finally explained that she was the daughter of the original Black Canary who was transported to Earth-One. Another was Wonder Girl. She was originally Wonder Woman as a teenager (in some stories she would have adventures with herself at different ages). However, the writers of "Teen Titans" put her in the group as a separate character. It wasn't until the 1980s in "New Teen Titans" that they gave her a definitive origin. Then Crisis hit and Wonder Girl's (Donna Troy) origin has changed multiple times.

As an example, two common complaints are that the characters are static and the story never ends. With a Multiverse you can have both. As an example, on Earth-Two the characters did get older, get married, have children, and eventually some die. This is the case with Batman where he eventually got over the death of his parents, fell in love with Selina Kyle (Catwoman), got married, had a daughter Helena, Selina died, and later Bruce also died. This all without affecting the continuity of the main Earth. It also allows for stories that couldn't be done with a single universe. As an example, Earth-9 features the Tangent Characters. It is an Earth where during the Cuban Missile Crisis the missiles were fired. Due to that, on that Earth there is no longer a Cuba and a Florida, and the Southern-most U. S. City is New Atlantis, build on the wreckage of old Atlanta. Due to this, events went in a different direction. On that Earth the names are familiar, but the characters are not. For example, Superman is an ordinary man named Harvey Dent who took an experimental drug that made him the most power being on the planet, The Batman is a cursed knight from King Arthur's Court who (to redeem himself) remotely operates a magical suit of armor, and Wonder Woman is an alien has the power to alter reality based on what she wonders.

@@Solitaire001 I get that but the Introduction of the Multiverse is called the deathnail of the IP because it creates a new problem - "Its All Pointless". The main "Static" universe is still static and the multiverse is just official "What if" fiction and the event of multiverse cannot actually happen in the static universe thus those character cannot exist in the main static verse and they end up as "What if" characters even when they end up in the main static verse. NOW! the Multiverse can act as an excellent drawing board to make new characters from existing concepts, refine it and officially introduce them in the main staticverse with proper origin story and improving the quality of the main staticverse.

@@SuperSky9 What I was thinking of is that DC follows one main universe for a while, then shifts their focus to another universe that becomes the new main universe. No need for multiverse-altering events, just start watching a new main universe while the previous main universe continues on. It's like with Earth-Two where, although stories weren't written about them any longer, life still progressed. They also went back to Earth-Two in a series named "All-Star Squadron" which focused on the Earth-Two heroes during WWII. That series made originally minor characters like Johnny Quick and Liberty Bell into significant characters. In that series they answered questions like "Why didn't the heroes just go over to Europe and defeat the Axis Powers?" (Answer: Hitler used a mystic item to cast a spell over Europe that turns anyone with superpowers against the Allies if they cross the Atlantic).
