The last round of Tsunami warning sirens for Honolulu due to the earthquake in the Queen Charlotte Islands, Canada. Nothing spectacular to see or hear in the video, just figured I post it up cause I get friends in the mainland who have not heard them before. The sound of the sirens are rather ominous, but if you have lived here long enough, its not such a big deal. For those here on vacation or are from the mainland and are hearing them for the first time, its pretty eerie.
These were the last round of sirens that went off at about 9:48 PM. About half an hour earlier, most of the boats started heading out of the harbor to sea for safety reasons. Harbor patrol boats were the only ones moving around. Ala Moana blvd was closed off and cops were driving around telling people to head for higher ground.
