I love an Eric deep dive. This one has me rethinking certain opposition tactics for my next game. Barrier with its own damaging and hardness modifiers, plus fatigue, should make for a great "They're getting away!" moment.

Shroud modifier on Deflection is my go to. It is why I still consider Deflection worthwhile after the 6.0 update nerf.

I do need to remind my players sometimes about Selective. :P Especially when there's a small army surrounding our Wizard Tank. (For real though, Wizard Tank. She's got a Toughness of 11 at Advance 1, it's horrifying)

lol love muscles mages... One thing I forgot to mention, as a tip for starting arcane players or GMs who have starting arcane players, is to actually add Selective and Range to their power descriptions along with the specific power mods if they are using a VTT, or just printing out the whole uni mod list if IRL, seems to really help with remembering...

Wonderful discussion about Power Modifiers that I’ll watch again with my grandkids (who are my players). My grandson also prefers the spellcasting types but is not aware of the potential of this single page. My fault on that but we are learning this system together and it’s been fun so far. Thank you. I’d love a talk about the power Illusion- it’s potential and it’s pitfalls. It seems straightforward to me but am I missing something? Could it be abused?

I love Illusion and have a talked about it off and on but yeah illusion spells in any game are tricky with their open-endness and gm fiat, a good topic for a video! The one thing ill say now is at least its easy to know some the guard rails, in that it cant copy other powers. So no using illusions to disguise themselves (or others), or make them invisible etc..
