Have ordered it today to be sent to me in Sweden. I own clicked manual lenses from both TTArtisan and Samyang, and a declicked from Meike. But I prefer the clicked ones... A very good review!

Really interesting review of an equally interesting lens. I already own, and use, the 50mm 1.2 so won't be changing in the near future but it is a lens to maybe consider. In answer to your question, I have not had to use the warranty on any of my TT Artisans lenses but I have had really quick and helpful responses from Caitlin to some general emails I sent to them in Hong Kong.

That's good to hear! Yes, I think this is a different look to the 1.2, which is a quality lens!

I like this one, I really enjoy using it and I love the styling - I think all manual lenses ought to be more interesting to look at than they are. I have the F1.2 from TTartisan and the F0.95 from 7artisan too and I like it more than the F1.2 and haven't made my mind up vs. the 7artisan lens, yet.

Very good review, as always, and insightful sample shots. I own 3 TTArtisan lenses and my main concern is the AR coating which makes the lenses very tricky to use in sunny settings, especially when the sun is not directly in my back. Also the metal build is nice but the front lens scratch easily (and unnoticed) probably when fiddling with the screw on cap.

Thanks! Good point about the coating. I think the cap is good but yes, you have to be very careful with that one and sometimes you just wanna get the thing off quickly and get on with it.

compared to Fujifilm's 50mm f.0 it looks a reasonably priced alternative. For a lens with such limited use, I'd baulk at spending a huge amount so this could interest me somewhat

Oh ye the f1.0 is wild. I did have fun with it to be fair!

An interesting review, as always Damian. Don't think it's one I'd rush out and buy though.

Look forward to your review of the tamron 17-70mm f2.8. Lens stabe, f2.8 from 17-70mm(25-105mm), a very versatile range.

When will we be able to purchase a 1.2 other than the 56mm lens, from Fuji?

Great bedtime video review!!! Had to watch this with subtitles in bed 😜📸 cheap as chips lens!! How does this compare to other Chinese Fuji lenses in terms of image quality? As there are a number of cheap Chinese nifty fifty lenses…
