Great episode, in Australia we shoot 90% fixed blade, spot and stalk.. After years of stuffing around with tuning, I do 6 steps now. 1. Bow in factory spec. 2. Nock tune all shafts 3. Bareshaft through paper at 6yards till I get bullet 5. Go to 50 and shoot bareshaft and Fletched. Micro tune. 6. Screw broadhead on, shoot field Point and Broadhead at 50/60 micro tune if I have too.. That's it, done.

Start with your end goal in mind ... broadheads grouping with field points at X distance. This small idea will save me so much time.

Also new strings, a drop away rest and even string silencers can have a "shoot in" period. Until the bow is settled and you are accustomed to it, tuning can be very frustrating with limited results / improvements.

To tune my bows i shoot a bareshaft through paper at 20yds once i get bullethole it ive noticed it doesnt matter what broadhead i put on

Using common sense instead of believing in something you've read and preaching it as the only way, thank you. I own the Biggest can of worms in America, me. I now bare shaft out to 40, walk back tune with my hunting rig (broad head and field point to 40 (this method translates out to 80) if that works, I'm done. Thanks again.
