I go to college in a social democrat country and I work too. The state pays some of my tuition fees so my college is drastically cheaper, roughly €3000. Compared to America where it's $30,000. Life is good for me so I'm not critical of the system because it works for me. For students in the US they have to pay over $30,000 in tuition fees, where do they get the money working part time? A student can never afford to pay college fees alone and you can't say work harder and get a better job because that's why they're in college in the first place. Students in the US are under severe pressure so it's clear why they want Socialism. It's not the best alternative but they believe it's better than Capitalism because the capitalism system failed them.
@velocity32935 жыл бұрын
@@cameronburke8002 you're suggesting theft, and what do you suggest when the money runs out, because the 1% amassed their fortune through capitalism and people buying the services and goods they provide, so now if we even the playing field in a socialist country then who becomes the 1%, how much money should we take? Someone makes 1 million a year, do we take 50%, or let's go lower they make 500k a year, do we take 250k, it is not the fault of the upper class, or the middle class that the poverty line or the student debt is where it's at, it amazes me that people blame student debt on the 1% inequality of income distribution when the word is literally student debt..did someone force them to take out the debt? Is it necessary their are many success stories of people who have not gone to college and complained, if you're going to take out a loan do not blame your problems on others instead do the responsible grown up thing, work hard and pay it off like everyone else
@cameronburke80025 жыл бұрын
@@velocity3293 I didn't blame the 1% for student debt. I'm saying students need to take out massive loans to get by in college because working part time is not enough to pay for college fees. However in my country students can comfortably balance college and work. I do not live in a socialist country like Venezuela. I can still start a businesses if I choose and I work for a private company. I'm also saying that the system for students here works well and therefore students don't complain because we are happy. In the US the system isn't working for students and therefore they are looking to the other side of the spectrum to socialism. In the US you are taught that it's either Capitalism or Socialism, but you completely ignore Europe which is a blend of both.

@@goldie481 When you raise the minimum wage, you inflate the cost of every consumer product. Eventually, that inflated cost raises consumer prices and devalue the US dollar. You realize Bernies “socialist policy “ does not hurt the wages of middle - upper class citizens right? Unless youre making 400k a year it will not affect you. In fact it will help because free health insurance will be included as part of what your normal taxes pay for already. Its pathetic how close minded and oblivious people are. Boomers get a bad reputation because instead of “FACTS” they are asinine, lead-fueled impulsive bigots with broken moral compasses who spew garbage to whoever inconveniences their situation. AKA The Trump special. Their goal and ultimate agenda is to bully and talk over those with a righteous cause and make them look volatile, ludicrous, and “radical” rather than coming to rational sense with how progressiveness works over the long term. Quite pathetic and sad.
@justinw.23764 жыл бұрын
Danny Hernandez All socialist programs that Bernie and all the other far left dems running for presidency all require a price tag that is far beyond the US national debt. Yet you think somehow the country can pull twice the amount national debt out of us...yep makes as much sense as any socialist argument. You expect free health care and free college to actually be “free”. The wealthy will not be able to pay for it so the middle class will eventually be targeted. It takes simple economics to understand that every socialist/communist idea being thrown around right now is not feasible in any imaginable long run. I like how people like yourself have a personal vendetta with the rich because they somehow owe you something even though they are the ones that give you money already (assuming you have a job, even flipping burgers). Maybe if you actually put in effort and worked hard instead of crying about the wealthy you could actually become the wealthy like many can and do. And I’d personally rather keep my health care plan instead of paying for some random to wait in line for 6 months to get into the hospital for crap “free” healthcare. Socialism looks amazing on paper but there is no practical or feasible way of doing it. And your long term “progressiveness” = people get more poor and more unhappy, and then they decide to blame someone else. It’s a vicious never ending cycle of delusional and ignorant people that never get their way and cry about it.
@danny62694 жыл бұрын
Good Bad how can you base your argument as “free stuff” when we pay taxes as it is. Having access to health care is a human right not a privilege. I cant help but feel you are gaslighting.
@danny62694 жыл бұрын
Good Bad Are you implying im pro socialist? What’s next? Socialism is a precedent to communism? Why are you negating everything said about health care? Just because you are healthy and have no problem enabling insurance companies, (great plan you have todays standards) doesnt mean everyone is as fortunate as you are. And this is why republicans will regress this country. They wants to keep things are they are to not inconvenience their pockets and let the vast majority of the population scraping the bottom or the barrel. We need a government that allows universal healthcare and I want a government that holds *malevolent* capitalism accountable. Why does the question revolve around socialism? Its a methodology but nothing to do with integrity. You and all supporting the greedy pockets of coprporations and all the extreme wrong doings these corporations get away with are not realizing that not everyone is born as fortunate as you are . When you fail to see the other side of the spectrum and refuse out of your own ego to listen you are considered a shallow bigot. You are selfish, close minded and hinder every other tax paying citizen. Work harder and help is around is a half assed way of saying deal with it. The fact of the matter is you are part of the problem. You are an enabler holding back the progressive moment. Or as you like to call it “radical left”.

If I worked my way out of homelessness. Got 0 help from government. Paid my own way through college. Started 2 businesses without a college degree. Shouldn't I be exempt from most tax because I never used the government. The fact that we're forced at gunpoint to pay taxes for people to have things that I didn't need or want is absolutely immoral. Social security, Medicare, medicaid. These should be opt-in or opt-out entitlements. I want to opt out of all government programs. Now government wants my money? After threats, tickets, and fines for sleeping in my car because I had no home? The government hated me homeless and still hates me with money to care for myself. Whenever I see these socialist kids, all it is is them telling me that I'm only worth living if I have money to give to them, otherwise I'm better off dead. They preach it as caring for people when really it's about greed, envy, selfishness, and hate.
